I almost never write reviews on hotels that I stay at for just one night but the hospitality displayed during our brief stay was quite impressive. We had a party of two with separate rooms; I was given an upgrade to a larger family suite on the same floor on arrival. Both of our rooms had private balconies with views across the valley. The rooms were (very) clean and functional. Staff was across the board accommodating and friendly and the value for money is above average. The highlight had to be the breakfast buffet with spectacular views. Overall a great experience. Thumbs up.

Nice location, Great view from 1st & 2nd floor, Good breakfast, very clean, comfortable stay, hot water all day, in town and very convenient in location. you can reach the archaeological site and museum in 10 minutes walk. Parking is free but difficult to find a free spot on the street. However this stands for any hotel in Delphi. You only need to move the car if you plan to move out of the village. If so don't miss a short ride to Arahova traditional village 8km away or from the opposite side of the village to head for Galaxidi (35 minutes by car) a small beautiful town to enjoy the sea and fresh fish/sea food in the local restaurants beside the marina. The hotel stuff is very kind, it is a family business for 40 years and the hotel is recently remodeled and clean as new! Elevator access only to the rooms down the lobby - not for 1st & 2nd floor. Except the museum and ancient site spend some time to visit Osios Lukas church an orthodox church built at 10th century with its marvelous mosaics (a monument of UNESCO World Heritage also). Also enjoy the refined olive oil of the territory some local pies and Arahova's traditional "formaela" cheese.

Room Tip: 2nd floor for best view 1st floor for less stairs.

We stayed at the Hotel Hermes as part of an Adventure World CLassical Meteroa tour. The hotel is in a great location but it is quite small. We were travelling as a group of seven - with my kids sharing a room with their grandmother. When we checked in we (parents) were given a room at the very bottom of the hotel whilst the kids and my mum were in the attic - no window to look out just a small attic window. The elevator only covers three floors leaving me to walk up and down about 7 storeys (not that I didn't mind the exercise) I did enquire as to the possibilty of moving to be closer - sorry we are full was te answer - yes they may have been but the staff member was on one of the floors when I asked so didn't even bother to check! The rooms were clean, bathroom was tiny (flooding when showering due to the size) and the beds were a bit hard (this is a subjective opion as some people like soft beds, some like hard). Breakfast was interesting as the elevator is located in the small dining room near the table where the food is set out. In the morning the dining room was packed - the tables were so close together that it was impossible to move to the table - especially juggling what little food one could gather. On the food - very minimal - nothing hot including no toaster! When porters are trying to move luggage through this area via the lift - you can imagine the chaos! There is acafe 100mm up the road on the left which serves breakfast!

This hotel overlooks the expansive valley below and is within walking distance of the Delphi ruins. It is well maintained and attractively decorated so you feel both welcomed and comfortable.

We shopped at 2 hotels from the guidebook and chose this one for the great view, which is spectacular, and a reasonable room rate. The hotel was quite nice, spacious and lovely - one of the nicest this budget traveler has stayed in. Breakfast was good and overlooked the valley.

The disappointment came because when I went to take a shower at 11pm, there was no hot water. This followed the 10pm event of discovering our sink was slow/no drain. Then, we found the manager-on-site who was sympathetic but of course, she was unable to fix it. By 11pm, there was no one to ask about the hot (cold) water issue.

In the morning there was plenty of hot water so don't know what happened the night before. The sink remained clogged until we left to visit Delphi, after finishing our morning rituals. We asked for a discount based on the two issues - even 5 euros would have satisfied us. The hotel lady was apologetic but defensive that we insisted on a discount, which we never got. We were unable to speak directly with the owner.

The hotel also charged 2.50 euros/ hour for internet use. At no other hotels in Greece was I charged for internet use. Their explanation was that 'all the other hotels in Delphi charge.' This was a turn-off, too.

I recommend you stay in a nearby town and just visit Delphi in the morning; you only need a couple hours for the site; a couple more if you want to pay high prices for souvenirs.

We stayed there for a weekend with my husband. The view was unbelievable, the room was cozy and nice but there wasn't all day hot water, the night the central heating was turned off and the biggest problem was that the rooms weren't noise proof!!!We could even here our neighbors breath!!The breakfast was decent enough ,other than that it's a nice place to stay for a weekend!
