“Spectacular view, 4.5 rating”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 14, 2014

Positive:
- great view from a large balcony.
- king-sized bed.
- large, modern and clean bedroom and bathroom, with a second door in-between (fortunately, as the corridor floors are stone and noisy otherwise).
- safe included and good storage areas.
- decent but not best breakfast.

Negative:
- plastic shower curtain above bath.
- dull lights for reading.
- no tissues, free wifi or shoe cleaning pads / cloths.
- bit of a walk into Delphi village (offset by this hotel being above the village, adding to the view0.

We stayed here for one night after visiting the Delphi archeological sites. Our room was very spacious and had everything we needed. It had a great view over the valley and coast.

The previous review mentioned that wifi was only available in the lobby, however I can confirm that it worked in our room too.

Breakfast was good. Beds were adequate. Bathroom was clean.

I didn't pay list price as it was part of a tour, but the prices listed in the hotel made it clear that this was one if the more expensive ones during our trip. This wasn't surprising as it looked luxurious enough to match the price tag.

Our room gave a panoramic view of the valley and all the way to the sea featuring the towns of Itea and Galaxidi. The room was clean and very comfortable. Space was at a premium when it came to opening luggage. The promo says the rooms are luxurious - this is rather an overstatement but we were happy with comfortable. The food, although a buffet, was good with a wide selection. Free wifi is only available in the lobby. The 4 star rating is generous as far as our experience went.

We stayed at this hotel for one night as part of a tour group. We also stayed in another Amalia hotel in Kalambaka and that one was also pretty decent. The corridors of this one leading to the rooms remind one of a prison corridor as they are long and somewhat dark. However, it turned out that our room was spacious and very good. Likewise for the breakfast and dinner. The staff was cordial and outgoing.

You enter into another world - 1960s modern - very well done. The spacious communal area centres around an open log fire - very welcoming in early spring. I have visited here many times. It is a good hotel both for the individual and particularly for groups. There is plenty of space to absorb large parties. The building is amazingly solid (earthquake proofed I suppose) so large groups are absorbed soundlessly into the building. Good buffet breakfast. If you go in season the evening meal is also a buffet, which I recommend. I have not been quite so pleased with the set menu I have sometimes had out of season.
This isn't a luxury hotel, but it is a great tourist hotel.

The simplicity of the architecture and the 60s styling set this hotel apart. We spent one night here while visiting Delphi, and the hotel was very nice. We all enjoyed the 60s styling throughout the hotel and lobby. The breakfast was good. Beware of the lobby bar the drinks are a bit pricey in comparison to other options in town. But, I guess you pay for enjoying the feel of being in an episode of Mad Men.

Travelled in a group. What a great location. Dimos the General Manager was very friendly and greeted us each time we saw him. Room had a nice view overlooking the valley. Buffet breakfast was plentiful and nice. Overall a very pleasant stay and would definitely recommend.
