“Comfort at last.....”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 10, 2012

From Athens Airport, take the coach that goes to Piraeus Port (fare 5.00euros). Reception desk friendly and helpful. The hotel's in the centre of town, a 10mins' walk down the cobbled sloping streets will take you to the port and ferry terminals. Good location, very convenient esp for those who had to catch the early morning ferry(ies) to the Clycladic Islands the next morning. Such a relief our room had a portable kettle - 1st thing we did was make ourselves a big mug of coffee, heaven! Exhausted, we fell asleep instantly the minute we crawled under the soft warm bedsheets of the huge beds, not realising the old air-cond unit in the room was out of service......

I wrote a review earlier in the year and had no reservations about booking again.Turned up 9:00pm got issued with room key ,went up to find it had been a smokers room rang down to reception asked for the room to be changed.Lady on reception said she would send the maid with the key for another room.Within 10 minutes we were ensconced in another room. One of the developments this year is they have a snack bar serving a limited range of food but excellentl if you just want to get some food.Very reasonably priced 2 omelletes & a plate of chips with two beers 16.5 euro. The thing about any service is how they respond when your not happy and Pireus Dream sorted things without any problem and if anybody ever read this they need to know that every member of staff we saw was a credit to them.Smiling does not seem to be a problem -maybe it is a good place to work? We shall return.Oh they even give you complimentary slippers!

Room Tip: 309 is a triple .If you can get it at no extra charge

We stayed at Piraeus Dream on our way to catch a ferry to the islands AND upon our return as our "home" base for exploring Athens. It is a close to ferry terminals AND a short walk to the metro that takes you right into Athens. We were pleased with the room and the service. The restaurant upstairs just opened for dinner and is being run by a up-and-coming chef (Mike) who has the passion, and drive of a five star chef. Don't forget to have a bite to eat there when you stay, you will be treated to a great meal and warm service.

I visited this hotel during summer when I was touring the islands. Very close to the harbor and the local means of transportation. I had breakfast which was plentiful and marvelous. Clean and tidy rooms and splendid service. It’s really good for resting while waiting for the ferry.

Great staff very helpful in a somewhat challenging area culturally..good info on transportation, ATM locations, food suggestions. Very good and generous offerings for breakfast and room service. Met some good people staying there which made it fun. It is a good location for using the ferry ports. We appreciated that they accepted American Express after our other credit card was stolen in Athens!

This hotel was good. It was just a short walk from the bus and ferry terminal.
It is in the middle of the shopping area with loads of restaurants nearby.
Clean affordable and friendly staff.
I highly recommend it for a short overnight stay.

We have spent 3 nights at this hotel. It was easy to find after taking the X96 bus from the airport. Just a short walk. Get off bus at Gate 8 and then walk towards Gate 9. Once there, walk inland 2 blocks and you should be there. The staff are very helpful and the breakfast is well worth it. Room service is also done with a smile. The Athens/Piraeus City Sight Seeing bus is only a short walk away and well worth it. The Metro is between Gate 8 and 7. If you are catching the SuperJet boat to the islands you are right there at Gate 9. The other gates are only a short walk away (maybe 10 minutes between each gate). There is loads of shopping a couple of streets away and the hotel itself is surrounded by shoe shops. In the evenings, you can sit around having drinks or have a lovely greek meal at one of the restaurants up on the main street where you will find many more stores to shop. Dont walk towards the port in the evenings. There is nothing there. You have to walk inland to find these nice bars and restaurants and shops. If I were to visit again, I will definately stay here again as it is only a 10 minute metro ride into Athens central and is very close for the early boat rides if visiting the islands. I give the Piraeus Dream City Hotel an excellent review! Dont think twice. Book here.

Room Tip: We were at the top with a nice terrace. I dont know if all rooms have balconys but wouldnt hurt by...
