Highly recommend visiting this beautiful space first, and starting on the top floor. Guides would be super useful, but signage is thorough.

Modern building designed to show the exhibits in the best light. The glass floor over the old ruins a great touch

Wonderful, historical exhibits filled with interesting artifacts. It was quite crowded and the air conditioning could be better, but well worth the trip!

A really very nicely done museum. One could spend days walking around this museum. And this I can say doesn't apply only to historian professors.

The ruins of the Acropolis and all its areas can be overwhelming. The Acropolis Museum is laid out like the Parthenon and does a wonderful job highlighting the history of the hill, it’s temples, statues and artifacts. The archeologists and restoration specialists have refreshed the women statues of the “old temple to Athena” and these catydids are kept in the museum (replicas are part of the restored temple up on the Acropolis). The video on the top floor is worth seeing to understand the scenes of the Parthenon’s mythological carvings. We particularly like the display of coins which showed the change of rulers over time.
