We’ve been to this place so many times but for some reason I’ve never written a review about it. Perhaps I was convinced that the best way to let people know about Telis is word of mouth. What does it take for a satisfied customer? It’s simple: good food! And Telis provides this in excess! It’s not a fancy place but people don’t go there for the decoration or the ambience. They go for the delicious food! There is no menu at Telis because the owner serves only charcoaled pork chops on hand cut chips, Greek salad and Bouyourdi, a dish with tomatoes, feta cheese, and green peppers in olive oil, all baked. What I love about that restaurant is the simplicity. Everything comes in extra large sizes, the pork chops are juicy, beautifully grilled, perfectly seasoned and the chips taste awesome with all the juices from the chops on top of them. The Bouyourdi is really good too if you are in for something spicy. Let me put it this way, if I were on death row this would be my final meal request!
And after dinner you can go for a drink as it’s located close to the Psiri and Monastiraki areas where you can find many bars and cool places to chill out on a hot summer Athenian night!
