Description: Vintage is a bistro style wine bar owned and operated by restaurateurs Iza & Panos Kyriazis who wanted to recreate a classic bistro in the heart of historical Athens with wide range of wines both from Greek and international vineyards. Quality ingredients cooked simply & healthy Our lunch and dinner menu is made up of casual bistro dishes including variety of grilled meats, sourced daily fish & sea food yet salads & appetizers. Some of the Greek tastes Iza has brought up to date, while some of international classic dishes remain true to their origins. There is also separate cheese & fine cut list presenting produce from Greece, France, Italy, Spain and many other countries. Vintage’s philosophy has always been to support wines with good food. Wines treated respectfully Central part of the interior at main floor takes walk-in wine cellar with controlled temperature & humidity. Thanks to that and also our second cellar on the 1st floor, all wines are stored and aged in ideal conditions. Our wines are always served according to their characteristics. We use different glasses for different wines and care for serving temperature as this allows to enjoy full aroma of wine. Vintage’s wine list consists of over 600 labels from Greek & international vineyards. Thanks to Coravin (technology allowing to pour wine without removing the cork) nearly all wines – including fine wines – are served per glass. Currently our by the glass list is the largest worldwide and holds more than 540 labels. We pour 150ml or 75ml glasses. Many of the wines are poured from magnums. These magnums are not only fabulous to look at, but in some cases the wine ages better. There is also a selection of fine wines available both per bottle or per glass.

Can't say enough about this place if you want to learn about local wines! Go a bit early and talk to Theodore. He is the best and so knowledgeable at his young age. Took so much time to explain the wines and design a flight for us. And the cheeses and meats! The dinner looks amazing too but we didn't have it. Go if you like wine at all! Ps we live near Napa so we were able to relate a lot of the wine terms and varietals to Theodore. Recommend highly!

My wife and I were traveling from NYC and I wanted to take her some place special for her birthday. We certainly made the right choice! The wait staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the food was unbelievable good. The manager checked in on us a few times which was great, and he also gave us a list of winery recommendations when we visit Santorini. He also overheard it was her birthday and brought out some ice cream with a candle which was a wonderful touch.

I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a best in class dining experience!

Everything about this place seemed off to me. From the moment we sat down the entire experience was wrong. The waitress attempted to be helpful.... However, she just confused us... All we wanted was to try a few wines, as well as a meat and cheese platter.... It should have been easy... However, it was impossible.

Wow. A beautiful selection of fine Greek wines topped up with mouth-watering cuisine. The staff were very friendly and helpful when coming to the selection of wine. I rate this place highly and advise anyone visiting Athens to check this place out.
