“Excellent and amazing staff, very convenient location close to all attractions.”
Reviewed May 6, 2014

We stayed at the Acropolis Museum Boutique Hotel, Athens in April 2014.
The Hotel itself though a bit dated in appearance and requiring refurbishment, is actually quite cozy and comfortable although the rooms were small.
The free WiFi is an added bonus and works well.
Breakfast is very nice with excellent vegetarian choices. .
The hotel is walking distance to shopping, plenty of restaurants and all attractions, a short walk to the tube station as well as Syntagma Square, trams and buses. Taxis are in plenty and costs 35 Euros to the airport.
The reception staff are absolute gems. Donara and Luba are delightful people, extremely helpful and they really made us enjoy our stay here with their good tips on places to visit, shopping and restaurants.
Would strongly recommend staying here as the location is very convenient, staff are extremely nice and the breakfast is excellent.

Room Tip: Quite a few steps up to reception and a further lot to the lift. Be prepared to carry your suitcases...

Hotel staff were fantastic, so friendly and helpful. Close to everything you'd want; metros, acropolis, good restaurants etc. breakfast was particularly good. Decor slightly tired but it didn't detract from the overall experience. Thanks for a gear stay!!

What you see in the web homepage is not what you get. Pictures can mislead. Yes the hotel is close to acropolis but all the others things does not justify the price that we paid per night. Too noisy, no elevator, bad maintenance. Dining room is in the basement and very small. If you seek for a boutique hotel try another

When I arrived the recpionist was nice but then on teh second day things got bad. I was told in Greek to please answer the phone . i speak a little bit of greek but I do not understand everything and I answer the phone when I want to not when someone tells me to. Then the room was very small. The air condition was on but the filterhad not been cleaned in a very long time and I returned home with cold because the filter had not ebb cleaned and breakfast was okay for sucha small hotel and then one the day of my departure I left my room with the elevator and the receptionist was there drinking his coffee and saw me with my heavy suitcase and did not even help me with the suitcase of 20 kgs. The thing which is good about the hotel is that it is very close to the Plaka and Acropolis and the metro station.

We arrived in Athens on Saturday, March 1 after a very long travel day. We were tired and a little cranky. I was with a friend from grad school as we were there a day early before a study abroad trip. We had booked a double/twin room online and were expecting two twin beds. We were not happy at check-in when we were informed that we had a double bed and that we had to indicate our desire for twin beds upon booking the room. We put up a little bit of a fight because we had indicated our desire for twin beds but figured there wasn't anything to be done about it. We retired to our double room and 15 minutes later got a call stating that they had found other accommodations for us. We were then moved into a beautiful quad room on the bottom floor. This was perfect for us as we got our two separate beds. The double room was nice and had a large bed but we both wanted our own space. In the end the hotel was accommodating with finding us another room (thank God it wasn't high season!) and also moved breakfast up a half hour for my group. Breakfast was delicious (fresh orange juice and great eggs) so we were super happy that they started it early for us. For the price, the location and moving breakfast/rooms for us, I give this property 4 stars and would recommend it to friends or future travelers. Just be wary while booking your rooms online to specify what types of rooms you require.

Room Tip: There are a few stairs you have to go up regardless of what floor you are staying in. There is an e...

We really enjoyed our 4 night stay at this hotel. We were facing the street so I asked if we could switch rooms, luckily, they were able to move us to a quieter room for a few nights. The breakfast was good and I loved the freshly squeezed orange juice (self-serve). Overall, we're pleased with the service.

Booked this hotel based on location and reviews.
As the average rating and total number of reviews were both very high, I was fairly confident it would be great.
Location is good but not great (close to the center but pretty much next to a sort of highway, so quite noisy)
Hotel is old and poorly maintained. No elevator to our room, and sure, I could carry our big suitcase, but still, not very pleasant after a long flight.
The room was old, dirty, furniture were dingy and it smelled of stale tobacco and humidity.
The bathroom was dirty and towels had holes in them. Shower was half broken and not clean.
Breakfast room is too small and we had to wait for a table (while there was maybe 6 people there).
Staff is unhelpful and the breakfast food was terrible.

Room Tip: Pick a different hotel
