“Excellent!! Bravo!!”
Reviewed October 18, 2013

Stay with family for 4 nights. Excellent services, reasonable price, clean rooms though the neighborhood is a bit rusty. Very easy access to the metro, just 10 mins walk. Grocery store just 5 mins walk away. The front desk manager who call himself 'Bill' is a very frinedly and helpful person. We also love the complimentary map provided by 'Bill' with footnotes and important information on it. Definitely will choose this hotel again next time. Highly recommended to everyone.

We stayed in this hotel for a single night between our arrival by plane and departure by boat the next morning.
It is located in an area which generally feels safe (unlike certain reviews of hotels in the Omonia area). It is also rather quiet as it's situated in a small side street. If you want to go by foot to the places of interest for tourists you could find a lot of hotels closer to the Akropolis.

The rooms are roughly 3 star I guess, so probably much better than most of the the cheap hostels in Athens. TV, AC, bathroom with shower, balcony and a small fridge can be found. Sheets, bathroom and carpet were clean.

We reserved via the hotel's web site (if there's a bug in the reservation process, put english as the language in the beginning) for a very attractive price as it was low season, mid June. There is someone at the reception at all times, also by phone.

The hotel is very clean and friendly, which I had no trouble with. But the location doesn't feel very safe. Though it's relatively close to the metro station:10 mins walking.

I might not prefer to stay there alone since the streeta made me feel uncomfortable, but with a friend I thing it has a very reasonable price for such good rooms.

We'd read a lot about the area, but when we got there it wasn't so bad. Bit run down but we didn't feel particularly unsafe. The room was lovely and the man who greeted us very friendly. We had trouble trying to ask for information at a later time as the lady at reception didnt really speak english. It is easy to get to the metro, once you know the way, which runs into the centre - very easy for seeing the sights. Room service desserts were great. Overall very nice, good place to stay.

Good location near center and with fairly easy access to the Metro, the staff is very friendly and helpful and the hotel is spanking clean. Minor negative the mattress and pillows which are on the hard side and the shower which is rather awkward. Overall though good value for money

Staff were friendly & helpful.
Room was comfortable, aircon & wifi in room. Room service was quick & desserts yummy!
Location was ok.. Athens doesn't really have a great feel to it as a lot of streets are empty as many shops have closed down etc. We took the train from airport to closest station (refer to their website for instructions -super easy to follow) approx 45mins. We walked to the closest sight seeing bus which is approx 10min walk away.
We were also back in hotel by nightfall to be on the safe side..
Overall I would recommend this hotel if you're on a budget.

I was visiting family in central Athens and was looking for a hotel near the family and convenient to public transportation. The Victory-Inn is an oasis in the rather gritty neighborhood of Kypseli in central Athens. The room was amazingly large by european standards, extremely clean, and the staff could not have been nicer. I appreciated the room's amenities (bathrobe, toiletries)too. The hotel has heating and a/c.

I used to live in the is neighborhood and am very familiar with it. The metro station is about a 10-minute walk. If you have luggage and you exit at Victoria Square, you can take a taxi to the Victory-Inn for a cost of about 5 euros (including the extra charge for luggage)-- definitely the way to go.

The only negative is the spotty free wi-fi-- but hey, it's free. The prices are extremely reasonable and this hotel is a great value in central Athens. I am already making plans to come back on my next visit to the family!
