I read about this hotel from a few sources including Rick Steve's... whose advise I used to cherish (until I really followed his advice on this trip... his accommodation suggestions are SO WAY OFF). The hotel was supposed to be a good budget option right in the plaka. I was quoted 60 Euros for a double room with balcony and a view of the acropolis. I thought I found a hidden gem!! Boy, was I wrong. Upon checking in, we opened the door to find the SMALLEST double bed (which is ok, bf and I can fit on a twin easily) but it was jammed against a column in the MIDDLE of the room (see photo). There is almost no way to walk pass toward the balcony doors. The whole room had an eerie feeling of a women's detention center... Ok.. I thought the room is nothing to look at but maybe the acropolis view balcony will be decent. Once I squeezed passed the column and open the door only to find a dirty ledge with an ac unit (check photo). It's SUCH a joke of a balcony, they should not even bother mentioning it as an amenity. It's really more like exterior storage for the hotel. The final kicker was.. our bathroom which was located across the hall. The tiled room was quite large.
