The staff at the hotel are super friendly and helpful. We recieved such a warm welcome on our arrival. The rooms are great and we loved the roof top bar. Breakfast was amazing. Expecially that they serve bacon and eggs as well. I would recommend this hotel. Thumbs up to all Novus City hotel staff.

Wow, what an exceptional team at Novus!!! Service was impeccable, food was good and place was very clean. Excellent rooftop terrace and close to metro station too. The best thing though was they made you feel at home. Worst thing: a fair bit of external noise. In essence, the value for money here was about as good as I have come across.

We stayed in the Novus City for a week with a group of friends (adults and children) and I can only say good things about our experience. Our room was spotless and towels were changed daily - the maid on our floor was always very cheery and helpful. There was no noise disturbance and although there was no view I wasn't expecting one. I had been told that Athens is quite a peculiar city and has lots of residential areas with some of the main "tourist" bits split throughout them all.

Breakfast had a good choice and we both felt that it set us up for the day well. I would like to call out Anna who works in the breakfast room - she was EXCELLENT, always friendly and asking how our holiday was going and even helped us on our last morning when we had to get to the airport during a rail strike.

The rooftop bar was clean and my group used the pool daily. Drinks and snacks were nice and we spent a fair bit of time relaxing up there.

Location was good for us, metro station only 5 mins away and very cheap to use to reach Plaka / Monesteraki / Akropoli. Metro was exceptionally clean and easy to navigate. Also, 2 of the main sightseeing buses had stops on the square where the metro is which was very handy. Omonia Square was about a 15 mins walk away and had one of the best bakerys I have ever been in. If using the metro isn't your thing then a taxi from the hotel to Plaka (bottom of Acropolis area with loads of bars, cafes and restaurants) was approx €4 and took 5/10 mins. The area is residential and as such at night doesnt look the most appealing, however Athens as a whole is like this so if you aren't confident jumping on the metro then use a taxi.

Would happily recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Athens as it was a good base for sightseeing but had the facilities to allow a relaxing few days aswell.

The rooms are small, and there is no view from the rooms (even its difficult to see the main street). Breakfast is average but i think it is for a 3star not a 4star hotel. The location is not far from the metro station, but far from the city center and it is not likely to go at night in the area. If i go next time to athens i will choose another hotel near the city center with the same price.

The hotel is quite new, the room was very clean and the swimingpool in the rooftop is quite nice. In addition, the breakfast is very complete: greek yogurt, cheeses, cold meats, all kinds of buns, toasts, eggs, sausages, bacon (and I could continue forever).

The only "but" it is its location. It is 15 to 20 minutes walking to downtown (not bad at all), but if you want to have a late bite, there are no restaurants whatsoever around the neighborhood, it looks quite dead.

It is difficult to review this hotel because it is mostly at the edge.....

- At the edge of the red light district (one way) and junkies district (other side) that makes neighborhood a little strange once sun disappeared
- At the edge of a really busy corner that make a constant flow of noisy cars
- At the edge of touristic area that makes it far from main interest areas
- At the edge for breakfast, the buffet is ok but borderline for a 4 stars hotel... better not to pay breakfast in advance and get it somewhere else for much cheaper
- At the edge of privacy, lots of cctv camera arounds
- At the edge of rooms, the room walls are really tiny and you can ear what's going in next room
- At the edge for insulation if your room is on the street
- At the edge for furniture, really basic and cheap furniture
- At the edge of bed, a double bed is the assembly of 3 single beds and the bed sheets to cover mattress is so tight than once you move in the bed it is gone
- At the edge of service, they gave me a room strongly smelling the cold cigarette while I booked a non-smoker room
- .... .....
.... this list could be way more impressive.....

This result in the fact that even if the hotel is somehow clean, staff is friendly and it has a nice view, it is clearly not a 4 stars hotel and it's really suspicious the way it popup as a favorite in trip advisor ? Is this the impact of its roof-top swimming pool and nice view ?
Note that ranking will have been better if they were advertised as a 3 star only because it's a good 3 stars... Judgment is done on the current state they claim.... and price...

I only stayed one night, on the final night of my trip. My flight home was the next morning and this place was meant to be just a rest stop for the night. But what a great hotel. It's glitzy and colorful, nice location and great service. The food at the rooftop restaurant was good and had a friendly staff. Overall I wish I stayed here longer and not just a one night sleepover!
