“Must See Museum in Athens”
Reviewed June 26, 2012

This is a must see museum for someone who really wishes to understand the most recent history of Greece. This marvelous building was the former parliament of Greece. It hosts unique items from the recent history of Greece, i.e. the last 200 years. A real opportunity for someone who wants to connect the ancient history of Greece with the modern history of a unique civilization that has offered so much to the world.

“Relevant museum, which closes early”
Reviewed April 29, 2012

This is probably not the highlight of your Athens visit, but those who like a bit of sentimental nationality, enjoy great buildings and slightly musty and outdated exhibition concenpts, they would enjoy the visit there.

“The Old Paliament”
Reviewed August 12, 2011

The Old Parliament of Greece is located in Stadiou Street in the city center. We walked from Syntagma Square to Omonia Square and it was on our way .It is a very beautiful building. In front of the building of the old parliament there is a statue in honor of one of the heroes of independent war Theodoros Kolokotronis. In the building there is nowadays an interesting museum - National History Museum. The Parliament building is now in Syntagma.

“Worthwhile if you have extra time.”
Reviewed November 9, 2010

We had a solid week in Athens and were in an apartment so we had some spare time. This is interesting if you are into history. It has much about all the wars poor Greece has endured and you can learn about history. We enjoyed seeing all the period dress. Many outfits on display. The 5 or so Euro seems high after Acropolis Museum but not in grand scheme of things. We walked from Syntagma Square easily. Don't let them make you get cab. Cabs biggest rip off going.
