“Quaint and Interesting”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 5, 2014

One of the most interesting churches in Athens. The brickwork and particularly the marble reliefs around the exterior of the building are feature an abundance of medieval Christian symbolism. The interior is a great example of Orthodox simplicity. Again, as with all churches in the city, remember to be respectful – even though there’s not a “church service” going on, the Orthodox believers who are lighting candles, kissing the icons, and pausing to pray are worshipping.

“Pretty”

This is a very pretty little church from the outside, but so small that there's not much to see inside.

“A little bit of Greek History, that you can miss, if you do not look for it.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 4, 2012

This is a beautiful old church in the center of the busy shopping area of Athens.
It is so small can can miss it if you blink.
It is well worth looking for, as it has a lot of greek history to it.
