The sushi here is perfectly ok, the service very good and the location is just a few blocks away from the busy tourist and shopping area. And you can easily be full for only 5-7 Euro.
If you have been in Greece for a some days or weeks, Koi is guaranteed to give you a nice break from the souvlaki-mixgrill-mousaka-menues that are the only thing you can find a few hundred meters away.

Very commercialized sushi experience at very low prices (when referring to sushi) that needless to say leads to discount in the quality aspect....

However it's a nice environment that offer a dissent meal served by a very pleasant and polite "crew"

Koi arrived in the Athens dining scene in late 2013 putting an end to the preposterously-priced sushi, sashimi, and maki oligopoly of such restaurants as Freud Oriental and Kiku. Non-Japanese restaurants who jumped on the sushi bandwagon by adding a few sushi selections to their continental menus (Pasaji, for instance) are not even worth mentioning.

Koi is a small place in central Athens, a few steps from Constitution (Syntagma) Square. The indoors, which is non-smoking, is tastefully decorated. The outdoors is pleasant, if a bit noisy at times. We had wakame, salmon avocado and spicy tuna rolls, and the rainbow and dragon special rolls. Everything was fresh and well-prepared; the prices were reasonable, and the service was prompt and professional. There is sake, wine, and Japanese beer on the menu. Koi is open from noon till midnight every day, till 2am on weekends. A branch of Koi opened recently in the southern suburb of Voula.

Turning the music down little would make Koi an even more enjoyable dining experience. Offering brown rice would make tremendous nutritional sense too - most sushi restaurants in the US have done so for many years.

I have to say that it is a well priced sushi resto if you want to eat nigiri and maki and not pay exorbitant prices. Of course note that the sizes of the nigiri and the maki are much smaller than the normal size of a nigiri sushi for example. I guess that is how they can afford to have lower pricing.
