“All the comforts of home and then some”
Reviewed September 15, 2012

This hotel was very clean, the staff was very helpful, and it's located in a quiet neighborhood just a few minutes' bus ride from the city center. The restaurant food was tasty, and the breakfast buffets are generous (everything from scrambled eggs and slices of ham to fresh fruit and several types of bread, cereals, and rolls). Our room had a nice jacuzzi tub and the beds were firm and comfortable. We ordered room service twice and took several drinks from the mini-bar in our room, and our incidentals bill upon checkout was shockingly small. The free WiFi had a strong signal and we experienced no connectivity or loading issues. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great value

Been there for 4 days in Athens, good value for money hotel. It is 1-2km from city centre square (Syntagma) and 4-5 km from the port-beach!
Rennovated , and we also liked the massage chairs and business centre !
Very friendly staff.

Room Tip: Get the rooms from the new building :)

This hotel is a little way out of the city centre, half way between the centre and the beach. However it is easily accessed using the Tram, if you get off at Baknana it takes about 5 minutes to reach the hotel. The Tram stop in the City Centre is just a few steps from where the airport bus stops. Getting back on the tram you can reach nice beaches within about 20 minutes. You can get an unlimited train/tram/underground ticket for 7 days for 14 Euro, the transport is very good and we found no need for taxis at all. There are a few shops locally, including a number of supermarkets and smaller food and other shops, although not many.
The hotel rooms are good, and include a fridge and kettle; we also had a balcony with chairs; and dressing gowns and slippers are also provided. The breakfast buffet was good, and the breakfast room is spacious and pleasant. When we went it was very hot outside, but the rooms have really good air conditioning. There is free WiFi; and computers in the public area.
We loved Athens, despite the current economic problems we found the people polite and friendly. Coming from London we found most of the prices very reasonable, and I strongly recommend Athens as a destination and the Atrium as a place to stay.

I booked this hotel based on how it looked and was not disappointed. It was a very nice hotel and with the free breakfast it saved our lives. We were on a tight budget and being able to fill up in the morning was great. We were even allowed to take fresh fruit and bread with us for an afternoon snack. The staff was friendly and helpful, all of which spoke English. We were able to book day trips through KeyTours right at the reception! If we had any questions they happily answered them and were more than willing to give us directions or call a cab for us. This hotel also offered free bottled water daily in the mini bar. Another very good thing since Athens is so hot!The room itself was large and comfortable. The balcony was great at night, being on the fourth floor the breeze was amazing! The bathroom was large, well lit, and very clean. Very close to the town center, only a 30 minute walk up the main avenue, the neighborhood was very nice. Quiet, friendly, loved our stay!

Room Tip: Higher floors have a great breeze at night, no need to turn on the A/C at all.

We stayed at the family suite which was spacious and clean. The bathroom was fairly large with a separate shower and jacuzzi. Staff were friendly. The breakfast was basic but adequate. Acropolis and Plaka are not walkable but a 5 minute taxi ride.

We stayed at the end of July 2012 and enjoyed our stay at the Athens Atrium. When asking for help in getting into Syntagma Square they were more than helpful in guiding us to what bus (A2 or B2) and where to get the bus from. Although it is not in the centre of the city the location is fine for those willing to get public transport as we found the local transport very easy to use. Definitely enjoyed the air conditioned room, which was very much needed and we also enjoyed the jacuzzi bath as well. Breakfast was good quality with lots of choice and regularly topped up. Would recommend staying here as we found it very good.

The hotel was nice and the service was very good. Its location, however, was not ideal. We weren't close to the tourist area and had to take a taxi to/from sites we wanted to see (and we both love to walk).
