Nice, modern hotel with little quirky touches that made our 2 day stay very enjoyable. The superior room is not terribly large and when travelling with 2 big bags is a bit of on the small side, but everything else makes up for it. The beds are comfortable, the shower powerful, the toiletries lovely (Korres), the mini bar not as ridiculously expensive as other hotels, the staff friendly, the views from the roof top terrace and pool very nice and the cocktails there good, too. Try the Fresh Martini. Breakfast was nice with a wide selection and even bubbly! Extremely attentive staff at breakfast and very good coffee, too.
I highly recommend this hotel, but be aware that the area is not the nicest and a seedy establishment is next door, not that it ever bothered us or we felt unsafe.

Stayed at this small boutique hotel April 19th/20th. Well done! the staff was business like and friendly. The rooms are clean. The location is good a half hour walk from the Acropolis (remember it closes at 3:00 like almost anything else!). The walk is great through the placa and up any number of small side streets, lots of little cafes and shops. The hotel restaurant is good but expensive.

The hotel is very proud of its modern decor which is different and pleasant.

All in all a good choice.

Me and my partner stayed here for two weeks and we enjoyed a fantastic stay. The reception staff always welcomed us when we entered the hotel and the restaurant staff were very friendly during breakfast. Our room had unique decor that was airy and modern with good air con facilities and a small quaint balcony. The bathroom was impressive with a very spacious shower and sink and daily complimentries of shower gels were provided. The only downside was that this hotel does not seem to have any double beds, the two twin beds are pushed together which seemed quite odd but still comfortable nonetheless.

The best thing about this hotel was the high standard of cleanliness, no-body could fault it and believe me I have very high standards! The room service was also excellent; after a long day out exploring Athens you'd come home to your room to find that the staff had drawn your curtains, dimmed the lights and left biscuits/ sweets on your bed. A heartwarming gesture that most 4 star hotels do not provide!

The rooftop pool was another highlight and despite the hotel being situated in the thick of Athens, you'd never realize it, as it as the pool side has such a huge sense of relaxation and tranquility. Of course from there you can watch the sun set in the evenings over the Acropolis, if you're that romantically way inclined! There were plenty of sun loungers available during the day and complimentry towels provided, we spent 2-3 days just lazing by the pool! The pool and pool side is not of considerable size so you'd need to get there early if you want to get a 'good' area as they can be snapped up quickly. Needless to say the pool bar is pricey but then find me one that isn't!

The location of the hotel may not be to certain individuals liking (prostitution/,rent boys, drug users & poverty is there) but if your open minded and respectful of others culture then it's not a problem. We never encountered any problems in the area and you only need to use your common sense to know which areas to avoid at night! The metro station is a 5 min walk away and of course you can explore the countless shops in Omonia. The Acropolis is of walking distance.

Overall we thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Fresh Hotel and would recommend this hotel to any young couples or friends. I left with very fond memories!

I only stayed one night - but everything was fine. Good location, friendly staff, nice room and fantastic terrace with wiew of Acropolis. It was just what I needed to gather the energy for a day in Athens before heading for the islands. If it is worth the price, I do not know. It is a bit expensive at the restaurant, but nobody forces you to buy

complimentary champagne and fruits.

very clean and nice staff, comfortable, cute bar on rooftop.
no complains except for the location ( it is a bit scary) but that doesn't bother me at all.
would go back again.

Visting Athens for an International Conference I had the luck to stay at the Fresh Hotel, a modernly furnished hotel with a very good price-value relation. Easy to reach from the airport and the metro, it is located in a central position and many spots can be reached on foot. The rooms are beautifully furnished and very clean, the terrace is spectacular and has a lively bar or quiet seats with view on the acropolis and a swimming pool. The breakfast is excellent and rich. The service is discreet and kind. There is free wifi in the rooms and the prices are very good in comparison to the service. The hotel is situated in a popular area with local shops and with the general markets nearby. This is very picturesque and also interesting to see. Only at night there are persons near the hotel which look (but maybe are not??) not so recommendable. I organized to have somebody accompany me back to the hotel later at night or to come back by taxi (which by the way is quite cheap) and would recommend women which travel alone, to do so. If the hotel would open the front, on Sophokleous street with a fancy bar, I suppose that this would increase the light and attract also different public in this area, as the very close Athinas street seems to have a "better" public. I would not only recommend this hotel, but also be a guest again, during another stay in Athens. My compliments.

Hotel is definitely in the boutique category. Our room was very small, not sure if we were put in this room because we were on a half price offer from the Times, as while walking down the hall way we did notice the other rooms seemed a little bigger.

Notwithstanding room sizes, we were comfortable and well serviced generally. My only negative would be the bar and restaurant prices in the hotel. At 11 euros for a gin and tonic I think that must be more expensive than London, perhaps the view makes up for this? Athens was generally on the expensive side, but you can still find a few nice restaurants if you seek out areas away from the tourist traps around Plaka and Acropolis. We used the public transport and found it very cheap and easy to get round.

Negative comments about the area are generally not overstated, but if you just continue a bit further into Psirri area there are loads of bars, cafes and restaurants which have a really nice vibe about them.
