We've been trying to find IPAs on our trips to different countries, and found BeerTime by chance. Our hotel (O&B, see separate review) is in the same neighbourhood, the excellent and fun Psirri, so it was an easy walk.

We visited a few times, enjoying the local and Greece microbrews, guided by the lovely and knowledgeable staff. Excellent beer, super fun neighbourhood. We'll be back!!!

Much has already been said about the place, so I need not pile on with repetitive adjectives. The place offers probably the most expansive variety of craft beers (apart from a few draught beers of some popular brands) you’ll probably see in Athens. What particularly stands out is that the selections in the menu are conveniently divided into the regions of Greece from which a particular beer comes from, for eg. Thessaloniki, Macedon, Peloponnese, Crete etc etc. and therefore one can sample brews from a particular region, all of them being unique in their own way. The beers are always served with either a complimentary side of popcorns or some other knick knack which is just perfect.
The place usually offers happy hours between 4-5, so it’s a good idea to be there at that time, have a few drinks, and then head onwards.
The decor is quirky and the outside seating are is dominated by a quirky clock, which is charming in its own way. Would recommend the outside seating as it’s the best place to soak in the vibe.
Lastly, the location of the establishment is perfect as it’s located in the Psiri district of Athens, which comparatively to other areas, is still slightly protected from the tourist glare and therefore sees more local footfalls as well. 4.5/5 overall, and definitely a place not to be missed out upon.

After walking past this place a few times we decided to stop for a drink one night. What a great idea it was too! The beer selection was fantastic. Not just Greek beers too but craft beers from all over the world! I like a white beer and asked our server for a recommendation. Was not disappointed, I had the Amorosa and it was delicious. Shame we'd already eaten as the food looked great too. Definitely worth a trip!

Beer Time luckily for us was just a block from our also awesome A For Athens hotel. Beer time is a great little craft beer focused restaurant right in the middle of all the action central Athens has to offer. It is the only place you will find a huge list of Greek craft beers and many other beers from around the world. I managed to drink two beers there from Germany that I have never had before. Thats quite a feat for me these days. I was in shock. It's a really cool place with an old clock theme, a see through floor section looking down into the keg and cellar room and great food. We ate the same meal twice there we liked it so much. We met the owner on the first night and she sent us a plate of local liquor shots. Highly rec. Beer Time even if your not a craft beer enthusiast. They have something for everyone and the food was great.
