A nice place with various Greek draft and micro brewery varieties...quite enjoyed the beers. Decent ambiance. Only problem was the sausage and cheese started we ordered. Burnt and dry. So only go for the beer and skip the food completely.

Very good rock music, wide range of beers, choices of not filtered fresh beer; nice interior; from 18 to 20.30 is happy hours, pay one, drink two beers; food is of average quality, not expensive but nothing special

Friendly service, great beer selection and a great big hunk of braised Pork Shank with potato purée, talk about heaven on a cool winter evening! First place I've found in Athens with an appreciation for microbrews and it is in a really lively neighbourhood with great people watching.

Being from micro-brew country and being eternally curious about local foods and drinks, we wanted to see what the Athens micro-brew beer experinece was like, so we decided to look for this place to try some Greek micro brews.
Located in the hip, nocturnal Psirri neighborhood, Beer Time earns it's place in the neighborhood! Stylish and exhibiting an eye for design, set in a small plaza located at the vertex of 2 bustling cafe and restaurant streets, Beer Time promised a pleasant place to spend a few hours while sampling what the Greek beer culture had to offer.
We were greeted by what I assumed to be the owner (based on his personal emotional investment in whether we were having a nice time throughout the evening) who doubled as our waiter. English menus were provided (very helpful in Greece). They offer "bar food" type appetizers (think American bar happy hour) as well as more Greek centric bar faire - try the house specialty sausage wrapped cheese bites. They also offer Greek dinner plates. I had the kebab plate with fries and my wife had the pancetta. Both were delicious! We each tried 2 Greek (what might be generally considered "dark" beers) and found them to both still be a little closer to Lagers than what we were expecting. That's not a mark against Beer Time though, as I have found that mediterranean folks seem to favor lagers over all other types. Maybe it's the warm weather and the desire for a lighter refreshing drink, but I just don't think most Mediterranean beer drinkers are looking for anything darker than a Pilsner. Anyway - this isn't a beer review! The service was friendly and very helpful even though the place got busy after we were there for a while and the food was great! It may have been a bit pricier than some of the other local joints but the location and design of the decor was worth it and the food was great.
I would definitely recommend Beer Time to the Athens traveller.
