The hotel is particularly well located being close to the Acropolis and to the Plaka, old town area. The staff were always helpful, the first floor lounge was a very pleasant place to use WIFI, the rooms clean and wel fitted and a good breakfast. But it was the view from the rooftop restaurant and the pleasant waiter that we will always remember.

I would really put this at 3.5 if I could. We stayed at the Athenian Callirhoe Hotel for four nights in May.

The location is very good. It's a 5 minutes walk to the New Acropolis Museum and only a few minutes to the Plaka. The rooms are perfectly fine for a European hotel. We had WiFi all over the hotel, including both our rooms and it was probably the strongest signal of any place we stayed at in Greece. The hotel bar on the top floor is a great place to see the Acropolis, although the drinks are mighty pricey. Please note that if you get a coupon for "welcome drinks" it does not include alcoholic drinks - just coffee, tea, or soft drinks.

That being said, we were pretty unimpressed by the hotel staff (apart from the hotel bartender, who was very nice and friendly). The receptionist was not very warm or friendly, and the staff at breakfast were plain rude. I realize the breakfast area is very busy, but it was almost impossible to get the staff's attention to get silverware or coffee cups for our table. When we did get their attention, they were not nice about it at all. This is a stark contrast to everywhere else we stayed at in Greece, where the staff were very nice.

Room Tip: Choose an interior room. We stayed here on both ends of our trip - the first time, we had a room on the street, and it was very loud. The second time, we got an interior room and it was much, much quieter.

The hotel looks nicer then your typical 3 star European hotel. Could be 3.5 Star. I booked it bc I needed WIFI for stay. You can only get WIFI on the business floor or the lobby. WIFI could not be accessible in the room. There is a cable to connect to your laptop for internet but my laptop is newer and does not have one of those old cables that connect to the internet. Font Office seems very rush and not much hospitality. They seem to seek for tips for things like assisting your luggage which I dont mind but service overall could be better. Do not book if you plan on using WIFI on your tablet.

We were 4 sister on a trip of a lifetime to Greece. We stayed 2 nights at the Callirhoe. The location of this is hotel is perfectly situated in Athens with a beautiful view of the Acropolis. Rooms are alittle small but I believe this is common for the area and who spends any amount of time in your hotel room when you are in Athens! Pretty reception area, restaurant and great breakfasts. As I said great location, just a short walk to the Acropolis and the Plaka, which we loved. The staff and service were great, I would definitely stay again if traveling to Athens. I would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to see Athens, perfect location. Thanks to all the staff for being a part of a trip of a lifetime, Angie, Krise, Bonnie and Elaine, the 4 sisters from Canada

First of all - the location, it's great. The hotel situated in Athens city center, short walking distance from most of the attractions.
The stuff was very kind and helpful and I would highly recommend the hotel even if this was the only reason to.
The hotel is not too fancy, but everything is clean, new and working. The breakfast was nice, especially the orange juice you can squeeze yourself.
Transportation wise - there is a subway station 2 minutes walk away, which we took from and to the airport, Tour bus rout is two blocks away, many city buses around as well.
There was a balcony overlooking Kallirrois Avenue, but double doors isolate any noise perfectly.
