Pedestrian street

You can find just about everything on Ermou street: shops of all kinds, restaurants, cafes, churches, etc. It connects Syntagma square to Gazi. Depending on the time of day, it usually is packed.

Great Pedestrian Walking

We walked along Ermou to stretch our legs and do a little window shopping. Lots of tourist shops and cafes. Just be mindful of your personal belongings.

Shopping Street

Ermou Street is the street to shop and have lunch at outdoor Café (free wifi)
Its mainly for pedestrians. A bit crowded. Be mindful of your belongings (nothing serious but typical downtown)
Right in front of Syntagma Square. It starts at McDonalds (where usually the taxi drops you) and It ends at the Monastiraki...if you continue walking you will reach the popular Plaka bazaar for Greek souvenirs.
Nice and Fashionable Stores (mid prices). You will see a line of taxies in your way out.

This is just another area full of shops cafes and bars.A good place to spend time with your friends .

make it an afternoon stroll

The street is very happening, lots of people, lots of shops. This is a good place to do people watching. You can find a lot of inexpensive eateries here on Ermu or the streets inside. Many clothing and accessary stores are mid price or cheaper. Price can be friendly, it just depends on if you like the selection or not. Hygiene products are very inexpensive in Athens.

Ermu is crowded. As long as you take care of your belongings and don’t get pickpocketed, you will have a good time. Just guard your purse and wallet with your life every minute.
