the heart of Athens beats there, you must walk around to feel the beat of Athens, lots of stores, restaurants, things to see, and next to the most famous monument of Greece, the AKROPOLIS,what else to ask for?

Fun place to visit and shop around, with much activity and liveliness to the area. There are bountiful shops and restaurants in the vicinity - great for browsing or if you just want to relax and people-watch!

So many shops to see with prices that vary so if you have the time check several places before buying. We enjoyed our time here hunting for bargains, there were several guys from Africa that approached us saying nice things while putting a matching weaved bracelets on our wrists saying it was free and after saying how good they looked, they asked for money to help their family. So effectively you paid for the bracelets. A bit deceptive, I think.

This is a great neighborhood to explore. It’s got good restaurants and ordinary ones, interesting shops and those focused on tourist trinkets, visitors and natives - all in a lively mash-up that extends late into the evening
