It is a nice hotel at the heart of monastiraki....very clean with excellent hospitality..and a great view at the 7th floor...just wake up early in the morning and enjoy the view...the only negative issue is the fact that the neighborhood is not very clean!but if I' ll visit again Athens I will stay again at this hotel!!

Very good position- all the major sites and museums we wanted to visit are within reasonable walking distance. The hotel is well run clean and friendly
Breakfast is typical Greek fare.
We worried a little about the area as some of the reviews suggested the area is not very salubrious, however we had no problems and the locals were friendly and very helpful. Even rolling a suitcase from the metro late at night felt perfectly safe.
Consumables were replenished at the hotel (soap, shampoo, toilet paper) this can be a problem at some Greek hotels, but the WiFi was very patchy and with a lot of school parties using up the bandwidth the only solution was sometimes to go to reception- which if you need a constant good connection might be a problem.
Checkout was civilized as there is a room in the basement where luggage can be stored while you make the most of your last hours in Athens.
We would definitely stay there again next time we go to Athens.

Room Tip: Higher up is quieter- there is a view of the Acropolis from the snack bar/ breakfast room on the top...

Having read reviews after i've booked the room i was a big worried about the area, having stayed in this hotel for 5 nights i have to say that most of it its just nonsense, the area used to be quite dangerous a few years ago but when i visited a few days ago i didnt feel unsafe at all.Location is very good, very central and close to thision and monastiraki and all the archaelogical sites. There are rooms with view of the acropolis but the best view is from the breakfast room.Good size bedrooms, clean and a decent breakfast.Very friendly and efficient staff.I would definately recomment.

This hotel is in an international area and very close to the back streets of Monastiraki and I had no trouble with anyone on my travels to and from the square. There are great little bars around here so check them out during the day and then visit at night.
The hotel staff are very helpful and do a great job and will guide you and help with requests. However there are a couple of things you need to know. If your room is on the 6th floor you have the bar on top of you and can hear all the chairs and tables and feet up above. You will also hear this in the mornings at breakfast. The bath is small and you may not have a curtain so watch yourself when getting out ........its slippy !! These things are quite small in the grand scheme of things and should not take any gloss away from a great hotel. The beds were great, the view of the Acropolis is great and the staff were great and will keep your baggage if you have a late flight. Sitting at night in the bar, well its just one of thee views of the World......

Room Tip: Ask for an upper room, not the 6th, to get less traffic noise. Ask them for an Acropolis view, they...

I booked a couple-room in the hotel for 3 nights befor the flight to Athens.
I cost around 53 € a day. for a couple, The room was small. It had a smoky smell, the wi-fi was very weak (strong in the lobby) and the bath was really tiny , only for sitting, without a curtain.
The breakfast (included) was nice, not more, not very rich, no omelettes.
The surrounding very poor, with a strong smell of gurlic in the street behind (a gurlic shop).
But... The staff people were very nice, inviting, and in the capital city, maybe for all of that, it's a fair price. Rank 2-3...

We can't praise this hotel enough, not just for its exceptional value, but for many other qualities. First and foremost, the staff are charming and helpful. Sara, Panos, Cristos and Constantina gave us invaluable advice, spoke excellent English and were so patient with our attempts to learn some Greek. Our room on the 5th floor was comfortable and clean, with a little balcony looking up to the Acropolis and down over the rooftops towards Piraeus. One the 7th floor, there is a lovely rooftop terrace where you can eat your breakfast outside, with even better views. A bar opens after 6pm, so you can enjoy a drink as the sun goes down in front of you (this was the end of February; we were blessed with great weather). Some might find the area, in the north of Psirri, a little challenging, but we loved its down-to-earth feel and vibrant community. The hotel is on Evripidou, a street of colourful artisan shops, with a glorious smell of herbs and spices. At the eastern end is Athinas with the huge Athens market. With the most amazing array of meat on display (so not for the vegetarian, vegan or even faint-hearted meat eater), fish, vegetables, little restaurants ... it is exceptional. The hotel is very central; we walked everywhere, up and round the Acropolis, over Philopappos Hill to the suburb of Petralona, round the national gardens just near Syntagma. Public transport is good and very cheap. We went on the metro, buses, the trolley-bus, a ship to the island of Aegina, all at low cost. So, thank you to our friends at the Evripedes. We had a great visit. Best wishes, Charlie and Sarah, Stroud, Gloucestershire, UK.

Room Tip: Ask for one of the rooms with a balcony on the side of the hotel from which you can see the Acropoli...

Old but very well kept hotel in a run down area that has lots of character in my opinion! The hotel is ideally located on the edge of the market/ Bazaar district. Evripidou street has an international flavour and it is only 3 short blocks to exciting Athena street. The is an excellent Greek Taverna just around the corner. Also there is a hop-on hop-off bus stop close by, a great choice for sightseeing. I would not hesitate to stay again.
