After easily finding this hostel I was greeted by lovely staff members who were more than happy to help me out where ever they could, the rooms were fairly clean and tidy, overall not too bad for what you pay.
The only thing I wasn't happy with were the showers - in serious need of a renovation. The whole place is a bit older and that's okay because you're staying at the place for the convenience. The area it is in is fantastic, great restaurants as soon as you walk out the door and I found it to be very safe at night (as a solo female traveller).

I stayed here twice whilst on my backpacking adventure and it's definitely one of the best hostels I've stayed in. The location is great and it's an easy walk to Syntagma square, the Acropolis and other attractions. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly; I was upgraded to a smaller room with a private bathroom for free and the manager let me use his laptop to skype home as there was a problem with it working on the regular computers. I met a lot of interesting people and didn't have any problems. There was one woman who made a disturbance and refused to pay (it seemed she had caused problems before) but the staff handled this well. The bathrooms are clean enough for a hostel and the communal areas are comfortable. Overall, I felt safe here and would definitely recommend it.

After spending 4 weeks in Europe and finishing my trip in Greece, I was told by a friend to stay at The Student and Travellers Inn for its great location. Although the location is the biggest advantage of this hotel, everything else I experienced at this hostel was awful. Not only is the place dirty-the breakfast area is swarming with fruit flies. I am quiet sure there were bed bugs in our room-to which were brought home in my suitcase, causing a huge nightmare.

Upon my check in at the hostel, the incompetent, British girl who checked us in, begged us to write a review, on the spot, for the hostel. It was extremely awkward and strange considering I had not even seen my room or spent a night in the inn. After we walked away from the front desk, she confided in us that "her manager made her ask us", yet there was no manager present when she asked us to leave a review.

After checking into our room, we noticed that the toilet would not flush and did not flush the remainder of our stay at the hostel. In addition, our bathroom shared a wall and WINDOW with the communal men's bathroom in the hallway. Therefore, after all the men on the floor used the bathroom and showered, we woke up to find 2 inches of standing water in our bathroom. We went down to the front desk to tell the same rude British girl at the front desk. She had no sympathy for the problem and asked "what do you want me to do about it?". I essentially paid for a private room and private bathroom, that was loud, dirty, and did not have a properly working bathroom. Terrible management and front desk help. Don't stay here, there are better places to waste your money for a terrible night's stay!

After getting no where with the stupid girl at the desk, I asked to speak with the manager, to which the girl said "there is no m

This hostel was fully booked for some of the nights I was in Athens, so I stayed at another hostel near the Olympic Stadium for two days before coming here. Getting to this hostel was like arriving in heaven after my previous nights' stays! Note that it was much pricier (about 25 Euros/night when I stayed) than many of the other city's offerings, but the cleanliness, friendly and knowledgable staff, and location made it worth it.

The rooms are clean and spacious. I had three roommates (I was guaranteed an all-female room) but late in the night a young man was checked into our room. It was OK, but it could have been an uncomfortable situation had he been creepy! All of the beds in this room were singles (not bunks) and the bathrooms were clean. Hot water for your showers is free here!

This hostel is very close to the touristy areas which is great since that's where many of the KTEL busses pick up to take tourists all over the country. It's also near to Syntagma Square, the city bus, the Parthenon, and the Acropolis Museum. It's ideal for someone looking for a more urban stay, although the rooms are quiet and relatively cool during the hot summer.

I happened to lose my debit card a day before I was about to pay for my stay and the incredibly friendly and helpful staff helped me get it charged to a credit card. Additionally, the staff helped me figure out the bus schedule and book passage to Santorini. I would definitely stay here again if traveling by myself again.

Considering that this is a hostel, it was a cool place. I met many people from around the world, which was great. The location is ideal - incredibly close to the Acropolis, in a really safe area, and very close to Syntagma square/Monastiraki, which can both get you to the major parts of the city. The staff were welcoming and were able to help with both public transit and recommendations for anything (sights to see, bars, etc.). Considering that it's a hostel, the noise-level was the major downside. For a student, this would be a great choice!

the staff were brilliant- so helpful when we asked them questions about the area. the inn is in a fantastic place, we could not have wanted any more from the location. it is right beside syntagma square in the busy touristy area with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. the rooms were clean and nicely decorated, and although the bathrooms weren't very clean at some points, it would be the only bad thing to say about this inn. would definitely stay here again in the future.
