This a small hotel tucked between little shops. The rooftop breakfast restaurant has a great view of the Acropolis and the city. Our small balcony was in the front of the building overlooking the street. Great people watching. Very small but charming. We were there for 2 days and walked everywhere we needed. Take a cab from the airport..well worth the cost as we never did see the Metro stop that was supposed to be close by. Not a lot more than the breakfast restaurant, rooms and internet access area...so if you are looking for bells and whistles, this is not it. Very clean and kept up. Staff pleasant and helpful. Would defintely stay there again.

We booked for two nights. The room smelled so badly of cigarette smoke that we had to sleep with the patio door open. Only problem...no screen meant that we were attacked by mosquitoes all night! Miserable experience. When we went to check out early the next day so we could stay at a better hotel, the unfriendly man at the front desk told us that we would still have to pay for the second night of our booking, even though we were checking out before check-out time. This hotel is a costly mistake! Avoid it!

chose this hotel since it was the nearest to the pantheon...very small rooms and smaller bathrooms, walking distance from the pantheon, good breakfast on the roof, with a good view of the pantheon, (but then i realised, that the pantheon overlooks the entire city, so one would get a good view from almost any rooftop!)

woudl stay there on a budget trip but would choose something else, if i wanted a slightly bigger room. plenty of dining options right outside the hotel and about 200m walk away. courteous and helpful staff and helped out with directions, suggestions and tour options.
and free internet too! though did hear some loud noises and shouting in the middle of the night. extra bed broke on the first night, but was quickly fixed.

We were there for 2 nights. The staff was very helpful, gentle. Also the russian woman who bring us the orange juice. The temperature was low (16 celsius) in our room because the battery of the AC-remote controller was old. They change it immediatelly, after that we had 23-24 celsius (in January). The breakfast was good, good variety, and fresh. In the room there is coffe- and tea possibility. Bonbon's pn the desk. It was no problem to leave our baggage for 12 hours after check-out, without payment. Close to every important place, maybe the best placed hotel to the Acropolis. Clean towels, good cleaning every day the rooms.
What we dont liked: price of wifi (5 euro / hour) and the bathroom! Need urgently to renew. With the new bathrooms the hotel should get 9/10 points (1 minus for the wifi price...), now we gave 8/10. (next time we will go back there...)

The Adrian is ideally located within easy walking distance of the Metro and all the major attractions. The rooms are more spacious than other Athens hotels I've stayed in and the staff are efficient and friendly. Nice to have a safe and tea / coffee tray in the room.
Bath was small but fine for showering - lovely towels. Some of the facilities are a little old but this seems to be common in small Athenian hotels. Nice rooftop terrace for a good breakfast and if you take your own drinks and ask for the key its a lovely spot to sit and watch the Acropolis light up in the evening.

My one night in Athens before flying home was marred by this hotel. The rooms were tiny (although in Athens, this isn't unusual) and absolutely filthy, the bathroom was easily the worst of my 11 day trip and the view (we were in touch with management before going and had been under the impression that we would have a garden view) was of a cement wall. Yes, the roof garden has a view of the Acropolis (of the Erechtheion, not the Parthenon) but it does not justify the price when there are cleaner, nicer hotels all over the Plaka with the same. Because the hotel is managed by a group that has a few other places, the desk clerks are powerless to help and can only suggest that you call management (which is only open limited hours). When we did call their main reservation line, we found them to be rude and uncooperative. Even if you're looking for a no-frills, cheap place to stash your bags you can do a lot better than this.

Stayed here for 2 nights in July. Location is everything - great location in the Plaka, close to transport, restaurants and sights. Rooms average - good size, but nothing special. Breakfast on the roof is something to recommend but so many other places have this that it's not such a draw. Make sure you have looked at all the options around this area as Athens accom is overpriced for what you get.
