It's amazing as a building and the concerts are wonderful! It's easy to be reached because of the metro station, which is almost outside the athens Consert Hall! If you visit Athens don't miss it, read on line the program and find out which one of the conserts you like and go! You will have a great time especially if you choose a greek artist, so what you will get in contact with greek music in a more formal way!

Well equipped, dull, double concert - opera auditorium next to the American Embassy. A most expensive and time consuming operation, that was the making of it, with the deepest underground 'well' for the garage. The controversial 'visionary' Lambrakis completed it and possibly misspent the funds in order to create a
Bayreuth of sorts. Fine ensembles (symphonic) were traditionally invited. The operatic stuff suffered in scenic and support terms and currently the financial strictures have reduced the glamour. Complete lack of ambience in terms of intimacy. Value for money not bad when an excellent event is staged.

It's a place where many great artists have performance: Mariinsky Theatre, Jiri Kylian, etc. I have listened to the operetta (a local theatre) and got a great pleasure!

Always something happening at the Megaron. See their website for more info, but be warned: everything is almost always sold out!
