“Great hotel”
Reviewed February 26, 2014

We stayed at this hotel for 3 days during a short visit to Athens and it was very good. Service was excellent. The room was decent. Breakfast was included in the price and it had a nice selection of Greek and International food.
The hotel is 2 blocks from the metro station and the Acropolis. We walked to many places in Athens and even returned back from a bar around 2 AM without any difficulty.

Although situated in a dark side street, this hotel has a wonderful location for any tourist coming to Athens. It is only 50 metres away from the metro line which takes you to and from the airport with only one change of train. In addition, all the major sites are all within easy walking distance and so no further transport costs are incurred.
The hotel itself is not what we in the UK would deem a four star, more like an average three star. However, the staff were all really nice, helpful and friendly. The breakfast was buffet style, offering a wide range of choices, both hot and cold and the quality of the food was excellent. The rooms were reasonably sized for a city centre hotel and in addition we had a balcony outside. The towels and sheets were clean and fresh and of good quality and the rooms were well cleaned each day.
We would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone unless you are looking for luxury accomodation.

Room Tip: Ensure you ask for a room at the front or back of the hotel and not one in the central areas of each...

I booked this hotel immediately after spending one sleepless night in 2* star hotel in Omonia area. And this was one of best decisions ever! I can recommend this hotel without any doubt as it delivers a 4* star service as stated. One of the nicest and varied breakfast I have ever had. Comfy bed, duvet & pillows, tea-coffee facilities within the room, pleasant view from balcony. Although you may not have the best view as surrounding buildings will obstruct view of Acropolis hill.. Superb location, just behind Acropolis metro and safe neighbourhood. Dislikes - Bathroom door doesnt have a lock, Balcony doors are stiff and difficult to slide open & the tap always made an annoying sound with the water flowing out of it (even the toilets on the mezannine floor above reception had this unpleasant sound).. But these minor will not deter me to change my feedback...Overall Highly recommended

Room Tip: Not much of a view from hotel but you can ask for higher floors for view of locality

The location is a big positive since it is right at the foot of the Acropolis in the Plaka area. In addition, the hotel is really close to Syntagma Square and the Temple of Zeus. I was also quite pleased with the breakfast choices. The staff was also very helpful, and they were willing to help me book a tour to Delphi. Overall, I was really pleased with this hotel and would consider staying here again.

In January, myself and my best mate, fulfilled a long held ambition to visit Athens. We caught the metro from the airport (very reasonable) and with one change arrived at the Acropolis metro station. From there, the Hotel was a three or four minutes walk. (Exit the station, walk up the road then take the first right and then the next right.) The Hotel is, thus, very close to 'The main Drag'. It is also very close to The Acropolis Museum, the Acropolis and Parthenon, The Restaurant Quarter; the Bus Stop for the 'Hop On, Hop Off Bus' and the Temple of Zeus. In a word - fantastic location.
The hotel itself is spotlessly clean. Rooms - excellent. No question of towels (changed every day), shampoo and shower gel - fully stocked daily. There is a kettle (three cheers, as an Englishman, tea is a vital necessity - there was plenty also coffee, milk etc.
I was very impressed with the Staff. I work in a four star hotel in England so I do like to think I know what I am looking for. Throughout our stay we were treated with great courtesy, kindness, and I was left with the feeling that nothing was too much trouble. This includes the Reception Staff, the Breakfast Staff and the members of Housekeeping. I cannot praise them enough.
I thoroughly enjoyed the Breakfasts. There was a large choice - from traditional Greek, to scrambled eggs and bacon, mushrooms etc. Cold cuts, cereals, cakes, and a variety of breads.
Thank you - staying here made our trip!!
PS The Receptionist even looked up the soccer results on the Internet for us.......what more can one ask??????!!!!

Room Tip: Our room overlooked the street but this was not a problem.

Returned to this hotel after many years. No surprises the same good quality of service, though breakfast has been enriched. Being a stone thrown away from Acropolis Museum, Acropolis, Plaka qaurters and the Metro station is ideal for those who want to save time and energy.

Room Tip: We stayed in 504 and it was very quiet.

Hotel is fair. Clean and location is awesome. We stated one night. Staff was ok not the best we experienced in Athens but definitely not the worst. We left a bag there and had to pay 1.5 euro per day. Which was better than lugging it around Crete so ok. We stayed at the Airotel stratos vassilikos that was further away and that place was awesome!!!! This place was a solid 3 thanks mostly to location. I'd stay there again knowing it was just ok, not amazing.

Room Tip: High floor
