“Fantastic views but think about walking”
Reviewed February 11, 2013 via mobile

The views from the top are fantastic right across Athens. The teleferic is slightly expensive at 7 euros so i would consider walking if it is not too hot.

“Nice View”
Reviewed February 10, 2013

We didn't realize we'd hike up half a mountain of stairs just to reach the funicular, but it was easy to find from the metro. 10-yr-old daughter enjoyed the ride up and down because funiculars are not a common site in the states. We missed sundown so the view was only of night lights, but was still amazing; recommend trying to get up there in time to see the sun go down so you get to see it in the night and day both. It is a must-do, being the tallest spot in Athens, but there isn't much to do once you are there.

“Views amazing”
Reviewed February 10, 2013

We thought the vehicular railway was shut after climbing up the first part of the hill but it only runs every 30 mins so we had to wait. The railway is inside a tunnel so you can't see anything but once you get up to the top the views are great. There is a restaurant up there but not much else.

“Go at sunset. You won't be disappointed!”
Reviewed January 20, 2013

This is the highest point in Athens, and is only reachable by stairs (by car part of the way up). Amazing views of the water, Acropolis, and other major sights of Athens. Wasn't the easiest to find in way of directions, but there is what appears to be a park half-way up the hill and a trail to follow from there.
