When I was researching for my trip up to the Acropolis I got confused because the same photos appear in TA for Dionysus and Odeon. The first photo you see on TA is not Dionysus, it’s Odeon. They are both on the south slope of the Acropolis but they are vastly different. I entered the Acropolis from the ticket office on the South side and then as I walked left on the bottom of the Acropolis hill I came across the Theater of Dionysus. It's in disrepair and part of it has been covered up with dirt from a landslide. If you keep going up the hill you will come to the very impressive Herod Atticus Odeon Amphitheater. Odeon is still used for performances today and it is amazing! Both theaters are included in your 20 euro Acropolis ticket.
