We took the train with our small kids. I was expecting a bit more ability to see the sites or even more stopping. After reading the other reviews I'm not sure why ours didn't seem to stop more than a few times to let people on. Overall as it was hot and crowded streets I'd not recommended it especially as I could barely see any of the sites because of being on the wrong side of the train or other things like cars in the way ad we moved by.

If SNL ever spoofed a Greek city tour, this would be it. Bored, inarticulate teen providing incomplete, useless & incomprehensible info. Her English accent was very poor. The train hardly stops. No map or guide to get your bearings. We missed the Archeology Museum (our main goal) bec it was described as a “conference centre.” This tour is a joke. Take a taxi or the metro to wherever you want to go.

I really wanted something to hop-on and off the city center. This was not the case with this train unfortunately.
On the other hand, the tour was quite intresting. Commentary can be improved.

We sat in the train for more than half an hour when we've been told it will start shortly. Also the train is very slow, there are no real explanations and you can't really see anything

Don’t bother, they don’t stick to their times waited ages over 45 minutes to then be told when it arrived that a group had booked and if space we could get on or get the one right behind. At no point were we told that it would not stop at the usual places or re the route. Everything was in Greek and took almost an hour to get back to the same place with no stop. When we did speak to the older Greek woman at the front of the train her customer skills were non existent . Another family and ourselves questioned the journey and she just made excuses and told us we could get back on. Really not worth the 5 euros U can just walk the distance and enjoy it more .
Shocking customer service and excuses never again.
