The hotel is in good location perfect for tourist. The staff is very friendly and helpful. the Breakfast is nice and the price too. However the air conditioner was not working as we were expecting. The room was very hot to sleep, we did not inform to the staff because we were only one night.

The hotel is a good location within the Plaka area. It is family-run and everyone is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is included in the price and you have a good selection. It is also clean! As other posts mention you are expected to pay in cash.

My husband and I stayed here for one night on our recent trip to Athens. It is an interesting old historic house that was turned into a hotel. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The location is excellent - just a short walk to stores, restaurant and historical sights. We stayed in a room with an in suite bathroom. The room was decent and clean but not modern at all. There is no elevator so you will have to carry your luggage up the steps. Where they really shine is their breakfast. It is too die for! There were many different foods -both hot and cold - to choose from and everything was homemade. This was by far the best breakfast we had at the 5 different hotels we stayed in during this trip to Greece.

The lobby features 6.5 meter ceilings and original Pompeian style frescos from the 1800s. An attached sitting room is another wonder of frescos. I wish I had found this place sooner. From now on I will only stay here when in Athens.
Its not for everyone I know. It is old yet spotless. The breakfast is homemade down to the bread. The staff is terrific. Jasmine is warm and welcoming and, if you have a minute to listen, she is a philosopher too.

Room tip: Room 107 in the mansion is spacious and has a small balcony with a bit of Acropolis hill view. I believe this is the only room with a view.

The Acropolis House is in a nice old house in neighborhood (Plaka), close to a pedestrian street full of restaurants and tourist stores that goes to the Acropolis. Also very close to Syntagma Square (subway station and bus to the airport). The room was small, the bathroom was modernized. Breakfast was fantastic.
