We stayed at the Acropolis House from June 25th to 29th 2011, and we simply loved the place! The welcoming was warm, service exellent and the staff so helpful in every way. For example when there was the general strike on the day of our departure, Emmanuella at the reception called the airport to check our flight and did everything so that we could get to the airport on time despite the fact that there was no public traffic that day. And we didn't even ask her to do it! Thank you !!!
The rooms are simple but impeccably clean, and the bathroom was ok. There was always hot water in the shower, and the towels were changed daily. Breakfast was simple, but fresh, and every day fresh fruit from the owners garden was provided.
The hotel is located perfectly for sightseeing, and is really easy accessible by foot from Syntagma metro station.
Next time we visit Athens, Acropolis House will definitely be ous choice!

The Plaka (old part of Athens) is definitely the best part to explore and The Hotel Acropolis House is well located and provides a welcoming retreat from the heat. The rooms are basic and clean and fairly quiet and very reasonably priced. The staff are knowledgable about what to see and the best way to get there and very happy to assist. We will be back.

Very nice people run the hotel and a very good walking location to everything you need. Acropolis, restaurants, markets, basically in the heart. The guys that fun it also have a sense of humour and helpful.

However rooms are simple. A single sheet on a tiny bed for 2 people. A doona would have been nice. Rooms have aircon which is good. Bathroom are the worst, external to the room and mould in the bath tub. Also stunk like suridge. Breakfast is very simple.

If u dont plan on being in the room much its ok.

I stayed there with a friend for one night. We had a room with a private bathroom in outside of it. The room and the bathroom were very clean. The pillows were a bit too big and I had difficulty sleeping but I am sure that I had ask they could have changed it. The staff was very helpful and tried to accomodate us. We had to leave at 5:30 am the next morning and they arrange an early breakfast for us.
There is free wifi in the lobby.

Just a short walk from Syntagma Square. Very close to the Acropolis and the new museum. Quiet street with a short walk to shops, cafes and the rooftop movie theatre, which was excellent....and has a full bar!! Wifi was only in the lobby area but was very comfortable to do so. The hotel and rooms were very clean and had the classic feeling of Greece, with antiques, old photos, etc...not a western renovation!! The staff was so helpful with maps, ideas, and suggestions. The room price won hands down to anything else in the area!!
