We stumbled on this gem whilst wandering through old Athens, the size and quality of the meals was fantastic and after the Aussie dollar suffering against the Euro we found it really cheap which was fantastic after 5 weeks in Europe, our Waiter Marios was funny and helpful and we looked forward to seeing him on our next few meals

When wondering around the acropolis area there are a lot of restaurants to choose form, this one is REALLY GOOD. We just wanted to rest a bit, grab an appetizer and a cold beverage and head back out. We ended up enjoying this place so much that we took a long break. Our waiter was really busy, but he made good time for us. We ordered an appetizer of mixed grill meats…ohlala… 3 of us split it and it was more like a meal than an appetizer. The sauce was homemade and probably the best we had in Athens.

This restaurant is close to the Acropolis and the Agora (one of our favorites places in Athens). The food was wonderful and the service was even better. Most of the customers were Athenians so we figured the food was a good representation of Greek food.

We found this restaurant by asking one of the locals what his favourite restaurant was to eat dinner at and boy we are glad we did. It's only small and it was very busy so we were very lucky to get a table. The place looked amazing, sooo pretty and relaxing.
There was 3 of us and we shared entrees and mains and every item of food we received was amazing!!
The staff were sooo friendly and inviting and at the end when we paid our bill we received a free shot.
We recommended this restaurant to the rest of our group and quite a few of them booked in for the following night and they couldn't fault this restaurant either!

Mario pulled us in and we are so happy he did.

The 3 piece band was so good we bought them a round of drinks. The waiter was one of the best I have ever had.

We ate a village salad, seafood platter, and ehmek for dessert.

1/2 litre of white wine, another glass later, a few cokes, and the bill came to 80 euros (including the drinks we bought the band). Great value. My wife and I stayed almost 4 hours and enjoyed every minute of it. So much so I had to go inside and tell the owner what a great staff and atmosphere he has. Great guy as well.

Will definitely be back next year and will recommend to friends.

Only bad point was visa machine was not working. Oh well. I paid with cash and walked away not wanting to walk away lol. Metro system stops at 12. :). Enjoy everyone! Great place!
