“Terrible service”
Reviewed July 15, 2013

I never write reviews but the terrible service we experienced at this hotel deserves one. My 76 years old mother had to carry her luggage while two unoccupied receptionists watched her struggle. We almost missed our ferry because the receptionist badly estimated the time it would take to rich Pireaus. My daughter lost two toys and I had to call about 6 times before we could settle the matter. No one seemed to want to work, the pool was freezing (early july in Athens!), the neighborhood is far from the center and difficult to reach. The decoration and general comfort is at best average. Only good point, the stunning view from the breakfast room. Overall the hotel deserves a three star maximum. For the same price we stayed at Intercontinental Atheneum which truly deserves their 5 stars.

we stayed at the Radisson Blue for two nights upon our arrival and then 10 days later for another two nights at the end of our trip. The service was excellent and all staff were most helptul. Well located and only a few blocks from the subway. Great breakfast as well! We also had dinner in the hotel on our last night and that was excellent. The top floor has a great bar and restaurant with a gorgeous view of The Parthenon at night!

Room Tip: some of the rooms have apparently been upgraded as we had a beautiful suite on our second stay at th...

Just spent two nights at the Radisson Blu in Athens and loved it! Fantastic service from all the team. Special thanks to the people looking after my wife on poolside whilst I spent a day at a conference.

Hotel is well located close to park and just two stops on tube from Acropolis. Rooftop pool, bar and restaurant is like a little oasis in the busy city of Athens.

We spent 5 days recently in the Radisson Blu Park Hotel in Athens and I cannot recommend it more highly. The service in this hotel is excellent. Without exception each and every staff member we encountered went out of their way to ensure that our stay with them was top class. The hotel itself is beautiful. The views from this hotel are exceptional and the rooftop pool which turns into the most idealic dinner venue in the evening with a view of the Acropolis is to die for. The waiter in the morning had our coffee and lemon tea on the table before we even ordered it. I couldn't believe he remembered from the day before as they were extremely busy with conference delegate. At the pool, a constant stream of cold iced water was provided. Now that's service! I cannot recommend this hotel more highly and I think the Radisson group should single out this hotel for a top class example of the ethos of service which they obviously instill in their employees. Top Class all round.

Room Tip: Ensure you book a room with a view as the view from this hotel of the acropolis should not be missse...

I booked a tour which involved a cruise and we had 3 nights total in this hotel.

The location: It is called the Raddison Park hotel because it is across the street from Pedion tou Areos which is one of the largest public parks in Athens. Besides that, the area surrounding the hotel isn't the most upscale, but seemed safe. We walked to some restaurants nearby without worry.

The amentities: Restaurants, pool, business center, and catering facilities- I was impressed. I believe there was a fitness center, but I never used it. The restaurant upstairs- with views of the Parthenon, was good, but pricey. Our room included breakfast which was quite a spread and above expectations for a hotel breakfast. The pool was roof top with views of the park, lounge chairs and waiters bringing icy water. There was a computer in the lobby for use which allowed me to print out boarding passes!

The rooms: I had two separate rooms because we stayed here both before and after a cruise. The first room was nice, had 3 separate twin beds- but it was just my sister and I. It seemed that they used two beds together with a headboard to become a queen. Nice flat screen tv, European plugs (get an adapter!), a nice large bathroom with deep tub, plenty of tolietries (no need to bring anything!), even slippers! Mattress was comfortable and sheets were clean.

Service: We showed up and had everything taken care of. Rooms were ready on time (and even earlier when we needed them!) and bags were handled well. We had to leave on a very early flight (I'm talking 3am!) but there was someone at the desk to help us out, organize our cab and they even prepared us "to go" boxes for our breakfast (juice, water, a sandwich, and fresh baked goodies, and fruit!) I was impressed!

Would I stay again? Yes! The area was nice, there were restaurants nearby if you didn't want to eat in the hotel. The hotel was well kept and service was great!

Room Tip: The front side of the building has views of the park, but it was also by the main road. (Didn't...

We stayed in this hotel recently with our two children. The room was enormous, the beds were really comfortable and the staff very friendly. The decor is very outdated (the green carpet looked like it could use a mow) but the room contained everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The rooftop pool is incredible, even if the water is a little cool and the upper deck has a great view of the Acropolis. We enjoyed two dinners on the rooftop by the pool and the buffet breakfast was terrific. This hotel is in a great location with the nearest train station about five minutes walk. We would definitely stay here again.

Though a bit of an outdated product overall, the staff and all around service is truly outstanding. The hotel's location is ok in terms of walking to a variety of places and a solid renovation of rooms would do wonders. However, the public areas and rooftop bar offer comfy and up to date spaces to relax in.
The most valuable aspect of this hotel is the staff members and their amazing level of attentiveness, responsiveness and overall desire to please to the maximum.
Do make sure to get a room with the view of the Acropolis.
The restaurant is ok but drinks for sunset in the roof top bar are perfect. Breakfast was quite repetitive but enjoyable nevertheless.
I sincerely thank the staff and hotel leadership for a truly wonderful stay.

Room Tip: Secure a room with the Acropolis view!
