Radisson Blu Park Hotel Athens
Ranked #50 of 282 Hotels in Athens

As mentioned by other reviewers, this hotel doesn't deserve the 5* rating. Stayed for 5 nights. The room was spacious and clean but looked a bit outdated and in need of renovation (smelled like chinese food every afternoon and had stains on the carpet). Breakfast was nice with a variety of goods offered. The lounge area is warm and both the cafe and the restaurant in the ground floor are furnished in a modern and comfortable way. Staff was polite and helpful. I wasn't very thrilled with the surrounding area, especially after 21.00 for safety reasons. On the other hand public transportation (metro and bus) is accessible within walking distance. Overall, it is a decent hotel but not a 5*.

This is the third time I have stayed at a Radisson Blu this year, and it will be the last. The atrium looks lovely but that's the beginning and end of it.

I was here for 3 nights. The first room I was offered was on the second floor. The entire floor smelt of cigarettes. As a result, so did my room. My room looked like something out of a bad motel - blue carpet, orange print bed cover, small, tucked away overlooking a back alley, cigarette burn on the head rest. Hardly 5 star. I asked to be moved immediately. They moved me to an equally small but cleaner and more contemporary room on the third floor - no view but I didn't mind given this room was a lot cleaner. It smelt a little bit of cigarettes but not as much.

The Stastra bar and restaurant upstairs is lovely albeit slightly expensive when it comes to food. The lobby bar is ok. The gym here is not well equipped, and the equipment that is there is very old and worn down and ought to be replaced. The pool had been drained (nobody told me), however it's not a big pool so don't expect to do laps.

My first experience with Radisson Blu was in Dubai where the building/room were new and phenomenal but staff were slack. Second time was at Malta where the staff were lovely but the building needs a complete overhaul. And this is my third and final time with Radisson Blu (in Athens) because although staff are lovely, the hotel feels more like a dingy motel. How Radisson Blu maintain a 5 start rating is beyond me.

Dear Transient - friend,

First of all I would like to thank you for your feedback.
Your opinion is very important to us.
It is nice to hear that our lobby is to your taste.
We believe that our gym is well equipped and our guests share the same opinion.
It is true that sometimes although smoking is strictly prohibited not all guests comply.
We have tried our best to change your room immediately.
I feel so glad to hear that you find our staff lovely and we meet your expectations.
The swimming pool is drained when the weather is not suitable for swimming as it is an open one. This kind of information is uploaded on our web site and in the room directories too.
Sorry if you had false expectations.
Once more I would like to thank you for your comments and I hope to see you soon in our premises.

Stayed there for 1 night, the service was perfect, very friendly and helpful staff. The room was ok, bathroom looked a bit old, the breakfast very poor. Overall experience was good for an overnight stay, mainly because of the staff.

We stayed in Athens for a few days at end of holiday rather then heading home after cruise, Radisson Blu is very central, easy access to Metro and hop on hop off bus, main highlight for me was the Archaeology Museum was right next door, (one of the best museums in the world).
The swimming pool on the 8th floor gave stunning views of the Accropolis. The staff were very friendly and could not do enough for us, we booked B & B and the Breakfast Buffet was superb, the Staff gave us a tremendous recommendation for lunch, on the last night we ate in the restaurant on the ground floor, good Italian food, even in Greece

Room Tip: The a/c takes a bit of time to crank in.

very nice high quality hotel :)
- rooms are quiet and comfortable,
- staff are very helpful and friendly,
- location is great close to Victoria Metro Station,
- breakfast is various,
- swimming pool is the 8th floor where you can relax in front of the Acropolis,
- house keeping/room cleaning is very late I've noticed my door knocked at 16:00 for this reason

The hotel is quiet, and comfortably. Good location, near the metro, and a 5 minute walk to the nearest hop-on hop-off bus stop which we used. However, there was no mention on check in orat anytime that the roof top restaurant was closing for the next few months, we found this out when trying to dine there, fortunately we ate there the night before, it was good, hence wanting to use again. The other issue we had was there was no information regarding the latest protests (German chancellor was visiting), and the fact that a Athens pretty much closed down at 1200, we believe that this was well published in the press leading up to the event. Fortunately we had seen what we wanted to the previous two days.

Dear Brooke D,
Thank you for taking the time to express your comments and overall satisfaction for the Radisson Blu Park Hotel Athens.
In reference to the roof top restaurant, I think there was a misunderstanding as it is now closed for a few days due to preparations for the Winter operation but scheduled to re-open next Friday.
Athens center was closed for a day for security reasons, but Hotel is not directly influenced due to the distance and we had no way of knowing the exact extend of the measures as these were only televised a day or so prior.
Thank you once again !

Now I love Greek food! The buffet for our group was downstairs in a lovely decorated room. The food options were enormous and all so favorable.
The hotel was clean and staff considerate. Location to shopping is great.
