We stayed 3 nights and loved it ! Location fantastic and away from the hustle and bustle yet easy walk to all the sites. Staff knowledgable and pleasant. Don't miss the wine story ( wine shop) 1 block away and the many walkable restaurants and do enjoy the rooftop restaurant ! Delightful

I've just had my third stay at the Electra Palace Plaka in Athens.

Location is outstanding for everything Athens has to offer. Staff are efficient and keen to help. Nothing is too much trouble.

Breakfasts are good and the pool deck, while a bit small, is a real bonus with views of the Acropolis.

Well worth considering for your next stay in Athens.

Good location but for 120 euro per night I expected better room! Small room small bed, I felt like teenager that came back to his old room. Location of the hotel is excellent but for 120 euros you can find much better hotel.

Electra Palace Athens is a fantastic place to stay. Beautiful view of the Acropolis, service if first class and very efficient from check-in to restaurant to the bar service by the pool. I read some reviews saying service was poor could not be further from the truth.
We stayed with our 2 teenage girls, had 2 rooms, yes not the cheapest hotel but as far as location, service, cleanliness and professionalism this hotel was a fair price.
Located approximately 50km from the airport and at night that took around 45 minutes cost €40 odd and then to the Port it was 20min in a taxi cost €22.
Located within walking distance to some fabulous outdoor restaurants and the flea market, which was a big hit with the girls.

Room Tip: try to book on level 4 or 5

We stayed here for three nights in May 2014. We walked from Syntagma station with suitcases which took us about fifteen minutes. Not that long without suitcases! However we discovered taxis are cheap and would recommend that. The view from the rooftop terrace of the Acropolis is amazing. Our room was a standard double without views and was a bit cramped but clean and comfortable with a good bathroom. Breakfasts were enjoyable and not far to walk to many restaurants in Plaka. No Wi-Fi in rooms but available in foyer and bar area.

Central to all of the main sites, a beautiful hotel with a grand entrance. Very clean room that catered for 3 of us who stayed for 3 nights. The room was spacious on the first floor overlooking the lovely courtyard/ garden area. A little noisy in the morning from the courtyard as breakfast is served. The breakfast was magnificent in choice, variety and quality. The views from the pool area are picturesque and as you see them on the hotel site. The staff are very friendly and always on hand to assist. Free wifi is available in the foyer and at the bar and the access is reasonable. Overall an excellent positioned and very good quality hotel. We would certainly return and recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Request a larger than standard room if you are staying with 3 people in your room and they will acco...

This hotel is in a great spot - perfectly placed for everything in central Athens especially Syntagma, Monastiraki and the Plaka. The hotel is very welcoming and reception and concierge staff extremely friendly and helpful with eg restaurant recommendations. The views of the Acropolis from the rooftop are superb. The pool area bar and restaurant are good - but this is the only area where the staff might be more attentive and service could be better. Service here wasn't especially poor, it just didn't match the rest of the hotel. All in all, a very good hotel and we'll be back.
