So...location is perfect in the heart of Plaka. The rooftop pool and bar with the view of the Acropolis has the "wow" factor. If you do nothing else in the hotel, go and visit that. The buffet breakfast was great. Staff very helpful.

The obligatory meal on the rooftop terrace...nice but not the best food in town. Worth it for the view so try and book around sunset. Watching the Acropolis light up as the evening wears on is pretty special.

The room...was ok. Anywhere else I'd be perfectly happy but for a 5 star hotel it seemed a little underwhelming. The view was pretty dull, and admittedly I didnt pay for one but it was a minor dissappointment. I'd recommend doing that just to round out the experience.

Room Tip: Get a room with a view

We spent one night with all our family in Athens
We had 5 rooms, looking at Acropolis
Very nice welcome, warm and professional, we had the pleasure to be upgraded in the best suite, with private swimming pool facing Acropolis !
Other rooms were very good, as well as the lobby and the garden, sanitaries very good
We had a dinner on the terrace also looking at the Acropolis, good food, fantastic scenery
The location in Plaka is ideal
We went several times to Athens before in famous 5 star hotels, but we will go to Electra Palace whenever we go back to Athens

Room Tip: One should take advantage of rooms with a balcony looking at the Acropolis

We stayed at the Electra Palace with 2 children and my older parents and all had a great time. The hotel has a terrific location and beautiful common areas. My kids loved the rooftop pool and we loved the views. Beds very comfortable and AC worked perfectly. The hotel was also filled with kind, helpful staff who assisted us before we arrived and while there. At one point I tried to dry out my son's bathing suit in the window and it dropped several floors below- a helpful employee promptly crawled out onto a ledge and got it for us with a smile - what more can you ask? I'd love to go back in the future.

Room Tip: higher rooms are best.

Going to keep this short and to the point.

5 star hotel in the center of Athens, literally right next to the main square with all the shops and sites you want to see.

View of the Acropolis from the pool (the view at night was just incredible).

Staff was actually not that friendly at all. One waiter even told me I was ordering too much food (which was none of his business and little did he know I was bringing the second dish for my friend who was sick in the room... felt it was completely not his place to remark on such a thing anyway and it was the way he said it that I found insulting). Unsure if it is because of the culture or because it was a 5 star hotel. Either way the staff could use some brushing up on manners and hospitality.

Despite the encounter with the staff, I felt the hotel was well worth its money. The rooms were nice and the bed was SO COMFORTABLE. Food was good. But you really just can't beat the location!

Stayed at Electra hotel for 2 nights, July 16th-July17th!

Great hotel and awesome staff! Every member of the staff was eager to do whatever they could to make your stay as pleasant as possible! From the bell man to the awesome front desk staff to the ladies cleaning the rooms!

The rooms are nicely decorated with nice touches... Robes, slippers, etc.

Our room faced the street, which can get loud with all the traffic, scooters etc. But the doors must be sound proofed, because once closed it's pretty quiet!

The only downside. if there is one, is that the beds aren't one solid king sized bed! It's like 2 twin sized mattresses together! They a make each one up separately and then push them together. So my leg kept getting stuck in the middle .. Lol

Otherwise.. FANTASTIC HOTEL!!!
