Great hotel in the Plaka at base of Acropolis. You can see the Acropolis from the dining room which makes a lovely dinner. Easy access to major attractions. Excellent rooms and staff very helpful. Wonderful complimentary buffet breakfast with a large variety of choices.

Medium-sized hotel that is located in Plaka, smack in the middle of all sights and action. So all can be done walking. The Greek parliament is about 500m, 5 minutes walking, including main metro station with direct connection each 30 minutes with the airport. Although not a top-end hotel, the hotel is very good, with nice rooms, and a nice yard to have breakfast and an excellent rooftop restaurant and swimming pool with beautiful views on the Acropolis.

This hotel is in a fabulous location right in the centre of Athens but in a lovely quiet side street, surrounded by gorgeous restaurants in the heart of the Plaka and with beautiful views of the Acropolis. The rooftop pool is a huge plus, so relaxing after a busy morning visiting historic sites. It is a very relaxing and peaceful place, admittedly we we there over a weekend but there was no noise, so still and beautiful, especially on the roof. The breakfast is in a lovely room with an outdoor courtyard, again hard to believe you are in the centre of Athens, it felt like being in a lovely old courtyard in the country. Plenty of choice at breakfast, I do not have dairy so am limited in food options but there was plenty for me and my teenagers loved the waffle machine. We would definitely stay he again when visiting Athens, don't think there is even a second choice.

Room Tip: Acropolis view room is worth it.

We we're originally booked to stay elsewhere in Athens ( O&B) however a last minute decision to fly our children over to meet us meant the original hotel didn't have room, and a local (Greek) travel agent recommended we stay at Electra. Well, we were very happy. The location could not have been better, with easy access to all the main sites, plus walking distance to Kolonaki for lovely shopping. We were given a lovely upgrade, the view from our room of the acropolis amazing. The staff were all very friendly and incredibly helpful, especially with restaurant suggestions. We did not have a bad meal in Athens! The beds were comfortable and the rooms quiet. The rooftop pool (with an almost surreal view of the acropolis) was fabulous after a hot dusty day out and about and the food in the roof top restaurant delicious. The decor was not to my taste - a little heavy - but you are not buying it, only visiting! So it is irrelevant when everything else is good. We also loved the garden courtyard for breakfast - like a little oasis in the middle of the city. The breakfast could have had more choice - the fruit selection was poor, but it was sufficient. All in all, a great short stay in Athens.

I spent four nights with my daughter's family with three children in two triple rooms. Beautiful entrance, welcoming staff, efficient and easy check, waiting our arrival. The rooms spacious with all the amenities, great air condition in a hot day and right in the middle of Plaka. On the rooftop there is a beautiful pool and the view of the Acropolis is spectacular. It has a shower next to the pool, zaccusi and a gourmet restaurant. Excellent breakfast in the morning, where we enjoyed having Greek coffee made just for the asking. Staff ready to answer questions, offer suggestions. I will definitely suggest it to my clients and will return. Thank you!!

Room Tip: Although our room was on the street with a small balcony, we did not have noise from the street.
