“Almost perfect! I loved the roof top restaurant!”
Reviewed November 29, 2012

It was around 60 euros each way from the airport by taxi, you can get a bus much cheaper but this will obviously take longer! Between four of us it wasn't too bad, but if I was just going with one person I would consider getting the bus to save a lot!

First impression was the hotel looked nice but the area was run down, but from then on it was mostly positive. The receptionist was friendly and upgraded us to the superior room free of charge, totally impressed with this! We went to our room and I thought it was lovely, clean and spacious, with a balcony. What amazing views! It was a little noisy from traffic but this didn't bother us as we were walking all day and dead on our feet by the end of it!

The location is perfect about 10 minutes walk to the main shopping area and there is a stop 5 minutes walk where the tour buses stop, also there is a lovely pizza takeaway across the road, which does pizza and pastas. A lot of shops, restaurants within walking distance and nice to stroll around.

Breakfast was nice with a good range of products, the evening meals are expensive but very tasty. The view from the rooftop restaurant is amazing, totally loved the hotel and would return no problems. The only things that doesn't make it excellent is that free wi fi isn't provided in the rooms, which if you ask me it should be as standard considering it is a 4 star hotel and also the bed was not that comfortable. Other than that the place was great and the staff were lovely and friendly. I would go back.

Room Tip: Upgrade to the superior room, better views that is worth the extra.

Hi all staff. Thank you so much for helping us so many times! We stayed for 2 night and left and came back and stayed another night and left and again came back and stayed another night for honeymoon. We needed to get information about local bus terminal and they called and research all for us. We got welcome drink and snacks everytime we checked-in. Traditional greek sweets and water. That was so nice! We loved it.Room was clean and comfortable with great views. They hold our big luggages everytime we left Athens. Breakfast was amazing! best hospitality, great food and room
ever! We will never forget this experience with you all and hopefully going back to Greece in the future.

Highly recommended ! The location was excellent. All of the important and major sites just right down the corner. Subway access was very easy as well if you want to travel a little bit further away. And the most beautiful is the roof top view over looking the city and Acropolis. The hotel surrounded by great restaurants and shops as well. I definitely stay here if I go back to Athens.

I loved our room (612) because of the stunning view of the Acropolis and Parthenon. It was even more beautiful in the nighttime illuminations. Breakfast in the rooftop terrace restaurant was excellent (and again, the 360 degree views made it memorable) and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Location is great, especially for the Athens Marathon which was the reason for our visit. Close to the expo at the Zappion Megaro, the startline bus departure point and the finish line at the Panathinaikon Stadium - all 5-10 mins walk away. The charming restaurants, shops and alleyways are just around the corner and we loved exploring this part of Athens.

Room Tip: Pay a little extra for an Acropolis view, and try for the 6th/7th floor. This also means avoiding th...

Right across the road from the Temple of Zeus and only minutes from the Acropolis this hotel is in a great location. The rooms are simple but in good order and very clean. The service is excellent night and da. They booked our restaurants, gave travel advice, ordered taxis whilst making it always feel that it was their pleasure to do so. The breakfast has a good variety and you cant really beat starting you day dining whilst overlooking the Acropolis. The bar on the same floor is a nice place to go for a pre-dinner cocktail. The only downside is a room overlooking the Temple of Zeus is on a very busy street. Luckily the traffic noise doesnt bother us very much but we could see this could be a problem for some people.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the Temple of Zeus have road noise

We checked in very late & were greeted warmly with a small treat & water. Our room was very nice with a magnificent view of the temp,e of Zeus. The location of the hotel was perfect. The dining room on the top floor had spectacular views of the Acropolis. The Acropolis Museum was just up the street too! I highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view.

We stayed at this hotel last weekend and I cannot recommend it highly enough. It is in a brilliant location for the major sites with our bedroom looking onto the Temple of Zeus. Nothing can prepare you for the view of the Acropolis from the restaurant and bar on the 8th Floor - it is awe inspiring. The food was wonderful, the service excellent and the staff were lovely. They couldn't do enough for you and it was the little touches like Turkish Delight on arrival, lavender sachets left on the bed and the cleaner leaving two chocolates that made this stay special - those sort of things seem to be missing these days, The prices of the meals and drinks were very reasonable considering the restaurant ranks fourth in the world in the best roof top views. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone about to visit Athens.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front look onto the Temple of Zeus, but there are less rooms with a view of the Acropol...
