Chose after reading Tripadvisor reviews. Little off the main tourist routes and all the better for being so (but near Hilton). Fairly busy for a Sunday night mainly with locals who seemed to be having a good time. Dirty cutlery to start did not bode well, however, after this minor hiccup we had a very pleasant evening with excellent flavoursome food (excellent rustic bread), generous portions and pleasant service. The owner also brought us a complimentary soup to start with (very tasty) and also complimentary dessert selection, which despite being quite full from the other courses, we could not resist ! He also brough us a selection of local digestives to taste, most tasted like cough medicine, except a cinnamon or maybe nutmeg concoction that slipped down quite nicely ! And the final bill was very reasonable too. A recommendation.
