A very good experience that worth every penny!

Food is innovative, funny and very Good! I loved the way, they re-invented the greek cuisine!

Did I mention that the staff was very nice and professional ?

My wife booked a weekend for us in Athens to celebrate my birthday. As we didn't have the kids it gave us a chance to go to restaurants that we perhaps otherwise wouldn't. We had great dining experiences on the first 2 nights thanks to my wife's expert research (see other reviews). However dining at Funky Gourmet was the pièce de résistance. A really fun dining experience in a cool setting with fantastic, attentive service from the staff. We went for the 'Digestion 2' taster menu with wine pairing (128€ per person). This was the mid-priced option, which seemed fair for a Michelin Star restaurant. Some of the tastes were out of this world. Our favourite though was the Greek Salad sorbet...don't ask, just go and try!

If i had to dine in just one restaurant in Athens, this one would be my choice.

Very exciting setting - the shabbyness and difficulty to get to it just adds to the experience. The ambience is fantastic, just as the staff is... But the food! ooooh the food.... Just Go!

From our first reservation enquiry to stepping out of the restaurant following our meal the overall experience was PERFECT. Without giving too much away the innovative and whimiscal nature of dinner was visually stunning, extremely tasty and great fun! The staff were attentive, but discret, and helpful in explaining each dish, it's origins and how to approach it. The Sommelier took great care in explaining each drink (we had the taster menu) which was perfectly matched for the course. I do not eat meat and usually end up having a sub-standard replacement dish...Funky Gourmet provided an excellent alternative for the meat courses that were equal in quality and presentation to the meat dishes. What really impressed me was the waitress and waiter always gave me the correct meat free dish without asking even if they looked identical. We have never tasted such amazing food and we laughed and had great fun. The staff made us feel like we were the first people to eat there with their genuine enthusiasm for the food and it's theatrical presentation. We can't recommend it enough.

Extremelly tasty! We had (the cheapest) set for 86 euros per person with vine. Everything was very tasty and unusual, the dishes looked interesting and the taste surprising like greek salad icecream. Its full at night - better book in advance, the interior is nothing special but the view is pleasant.
Was hard to find, no sign at the entrance, look for a builing with a glass terrace at the 2nd floor, there is a bell you need to call.
