“Loved it!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 25, 2009

We arrived at the hotel after a very hot traipse through Athens and were so relieved to see two very smartly door staff hurry towards us and relieve us of our cases. That was the first of many good experiences at this hotel.
Our honeymoon was a stay in Athens followed by a flight to Istanbul and a further stay there. The Olympic was fantastic; extremely luxurious with a beautiful pool area and roof top bar/ restaurant with amazing views of Athens.
The breakfast was very varied and of a good quality, served over a long period. Our only criticism would be that it would be better to be able to serve yourself coffee.
The hotel was well sited, close to everything in a very safe feeling area.
Ok, the drinks and food were on the pricey side but in reality you are in a city and you are on holiday- everything is pricey. For a few euros more it is well worth it for the service, nothing was a problem, the environment and the location. Should we to go to Athens again we will definitely stay here again and would advise anyone else to do likewise.

Lovely view of the Temple of Zeus from my room window. Very pleasant comfortable room. The girls on reception were alot more friendly than the men. Had a vastly over-priced not very good meal in the restaurant. Food from pool bar over-priced and little choice. Very difficult crossing the road from the hotel in the daytime - even when the traffic lights are red the cars don't always stop!

We had a very nice two day stay and overall were impressed by the comfortable feel of the hotel. The hotel apparently has been substantially renovated in recent years. We did not use the hotel restaurant except for the complimentary breakfast which was quite complete and varied. The pool patio area was comfortable and inviting. The only disappointment was that the guest room seemed a bit small for the price.

Stayed for a weekend break and was hugely impressed with this 5* property. Firstly an excellent location, close to the Acropolis and the Plaka old town/shopping area. The hotel is recently refurbished and the management and staff seem to take enormous pride in the housekeeping of the public areas. It really is beautifully finished and maintained throughout. Our standard room was lovely, spacious and meticulously clean and well equipped. The pool area is terrific and extremely well run. The biggest hit for us was the hotel's rooftop restaurant that overlooked the Acropolis and the Temple of Zeus - a stunning vista as the sun set over Athens. Great food and wonderful service too! Can't wait to return.

This fine hotel is really under-rated and should be ranked near the top. The location is a short walk from the Acropolis, 100 meters from a metro station, and many rooms have a perfect postcard view of the Temple of Olympian Zeus. Free internet at business center, flat screen TV, good restaurant (huge breakfast), excellent pool, and more than enough marble in the bathroom to build another Parthenon! We were treated very well here. Sometimes there are protests in Athens which affect the areas around Grande Bretagne or King George, but this hotel is far enough away from the gov't buildings to avoid the trouble. I would definitely stay here again. Restaurants and shopping were a short walk.

Upon returning from Mykonos, I've decided to spend a few nites in Athens and check in this hotel. Location is very conveniently , a short distance walking to everything. Upon check in the room was upgraded to a deluxe and has a cool vista of the pool area. I had dinner at the hotel restaurant because it is suppose to have the best view of the Temple of Zeus and from there you can see the Acropolis also. Wow... the view is so amazing from the terrace , plus the good foods, wine and the services are excellent. Met the owner of the restaurant and my dinner was complemented ! Well, I left a 99's reserved Simi Cabernet saugvinon to complementary back to him. The maid service is awesome she folds your lingerie and arranged everything in order when you left the room. I would definitely return to this hotel again. A+++

We arrived at 11.30 pm into Athens on the 21st of may.
We really liked the room, it didnt have the view of the acropolis but that didnt matter at all, we had a nice view of the swimming pool. The acropolis , the temple of zeus were all walking distances from where our hotel was located. the hotel is so brilliantly located close to plaka, close to the metro stations and honestly the further you are from the hustle bustle and crazy rioting of Syntagma the better (plus its only a 20mt walk to syntagma or a metro station away!)
The room service was so good, the made our beds twice a day, and a left a small candy for us everyday on our beds as well!
