“Great Boutique Hotel!”
Reviewed September 7, 2012

Great location - however I love the Kolonaki area in Athens, great shops, cool cafe hangouts right in the want to be city centre. This hotel had a chic roof top pool/bar, great for cooling off from the hot Athens temps. Price was great (economy??). Staff were great and helpful. Rooms were clean equipped with plush king size beds. Cool artsy type hotel! Would deff go back!

It is a bit expensive but worth it, I've been there several times and a thing I love is whatever room you take it either view the pantheon or the forest or both. As for location it is a bit sidey but with shops all around the area and beautiful cafes inside but outside Athens at the same time. Rooms are a bit small but cleaner than anything on earth. Best food and view in Athens. Just a lovable hotel if you want to spend some time both in mid Athens and the quiet relaxing part of Athens.

You can tell that, around a decade or so ago, this hotel was the bomb....however, it's in desperate need of a refurb as much is very dated and old.

The service is very good, the staff are lovely so the overall state of the hotel did not bother me. The view is ridiculous...upgrade to an Acropolis view for not much more, it is worth it as you have a nice little balcony to sit on and watch the sun go down.

Breakfast was excellent too....much variety with traditional Greek cheeses and yogurt and you can order hot a la carte too. The restaurant has a large balcony with that view again which is a glorious way to start your day.

WIFI is not free in the rooms but it is from the breakfast area and the restaurant.

Room Tip: Upgrade to Acropolis view, all other rooms are not worth the trouble...get something in the Plaka or...

We had the pleasure of staying at the Saint George on August 18 and 19 - the first 2 days of our Greek adventure. It was the perfect spot to see the fabulous views of Athens and still be close enough to also enjoy the city center. We walked form the hotel to the funicular which goes to the top of Mt. Lycabettus. Don't miss doing that! We walked down the hill and hopped on the Hop On-Hop Off bus. After a day of sightseeing, the rooftop swimming pool was exactly what we needed! Breakfast was included and very good. Highly recommended!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with the view of the Acropolis!!

If you realy want to have a breathless view to Acropolis this is the hotel to be, including the Greek hospitality and verry good service .
You must visit the grand-balcon restaurant for a dinner to enjoy a nice evening with a beautiful view, verry good food and a quik service .
You must also visit the pool on the top of the hotel also with a beautiful view ,verry clean water and a nice small pool-bar with realaxing music .
I spend with my family arround 12 days , we had a great time and looking forward to visit it again next year .

My family and I recently took a trip to Greece. There were three generations of us. The first two nights were spent at this hotel. The service was outstanding as soon as we arrived, the food was delicious, the rooms were large and newly appointed each with a private balcony, the pool deck was very refreshing on a hot Athens afternoon and the view was incredible! We never tired of setting on the balcony enjoying an aperitif and menu. It was quite hard to pack our bags and leave.

Room Tip: Corner suites have larger balconies. Just made sure you have a view of the Acropolis!

As always wonderful location and view BUT
A five star hotel with no free WIFI in this day and age, (which is even freely available in civilized public beaches) not worth visiting again..Free WIFI access only available in areas where you are forced to buy a drink on the rooftop garden cafeteria or bar restaurant
Where they don't send up your luggage to the room unless you are physically there so they dont miss the possibility of a tip!
Poor service at Frames restaurant and overpriced for quality. Kolonaki taverna serces much better food.
Not the best way to regain recurring clients!!

Room Tip: Select room facing the Acropolis
