“Don't, don't, don't! So many places in Athens to see... but not this!”
Reviewed August 23, 2014 via mobile

Athens is such a beautiful city to visit that Omonia should be avoided. Not a good area to go, especially at night.

“most central historical square of Athens”
Reviewed August 21, 2014

The most central and historical square of Athens, is coming back. Some of the most beautiful newcalssical buildings, a beautiful mall (Hondos), the most historical cafe of the city NEON now VENETIS. Try every speciallity from VENETIS and sit in the historical cafe, the area that thousands of famous have spended their time. Take a look at the old photos and the painting from one of the most famous Greek painters in the wall.
Crowded especailly during the day, look at the traditional newspaper sellers.

“Use it as a way to get to the best places in Athens!”
Reviewed August 17, 2014

Omonoia Square has a very nice and thrilling history but today there is nothing to see but people walking around to get to their jobs during the day and homeless people and gangsters during the night,
The only good thing about it is that it is itself an intersection for 2 metro lines that can get you from the cheap shopping malls of Athens to Acropolis and the museums in the historical center,
There is nothing extravagant to see here, just pass it through and you have enough :)

“AVOID,AVOID,AVOID!”
Reviewed August 10, 2014 via mobile

Do not go to omonia. I was warned by the locals that this area is unsafe. In addition, there is nothing there to see. I actually witnessed a large group of illegal immigrants being carted away by the police nearby. Go to monastiraki instead.
