It was with trepidation that my husband and I booked and stayed at the grande bretagne on august 8 because of the previous rioting that had occured right in front of the hotel/Parliament, Constitution Square. Thankfully there were no protests and we arrived to a bit of paradise in the middle of the chaos that is happening in greece this year.
Everything is perfection at this hotel, they upgraded us from an acropolis view room to a butler suite room with acropolis views. If one can afford it, worth every penny, slept better there than I do at home. Spent some time at the rooftop pool that was very beautiful and pleasant, sipping my 20 dollar mojito. A bit on the pricey side, but worth every penny if you can afford the luxury....
