“taxi scams”
Reviewed January 28, 2014

Be careful when picking up a taxi in front of this museum. Many of them -- not all of them, mind you -- are tricksters.

“One of my favorite museums in the world”
Reviewed January 28, 2014

I have visited this museum twice now over the years and it still amazes me. The collection of Greek antiques is the best in the world in one museum. The museum also has a very good collection of Egyptian and Mycenaean artifacts which is worth seeing. If you have the time or even if you don't, make the time as this museum is a must see when in Athens

“Archaeological Museum of Athens”
Reviewed January 27, 2014

Check for times and allow plenty of time. If you purchased a ticket to the Acropolis, within four days, it is good at the Archaeological Museum as well. The collection of Mycenaean artifacts is worth a visit alone.

“what architecture it has!”
Reviewed January 25, 2014

We spent several hours and even then it was not enough. We watched all the vedeos too. in the museum. It also gives a very good back drop for photos of the acropolis and the museum. Must have an umbrella. there is not much of protection if it rains when you are planning to visit the Museum.

“a long-time dream come true”
Reviewed January 18, 2014

I'd never gotten there on other trips, and it had EVERYthing. Perhaps a bit too much of everything, but it was well organized and you could just zip thru the rooms of less interest.
