Parthenon is for me the best evidence of skills of the ancient Greeks. The most of it has been destroyed during the past centuries, but it has such unique architecture that the missing parts and the metal constructions didn't bother me at all. It's a MUST to see while you're in Athens, so don't hesitate and go admire it by yourself! (The entrance fee was 12€ in 2012, but it's open to public free of charge during some national holidays and every Sunday from November 1st until March 31st).
