“Lots of Agoras”
Reviewed November 18, 2012

Markets are big in Athens. It's worth going to the Ancient Agora to see a slice of history but you should also go to the current farmers' market area that lies between the Acropolis and Omonia Square. Walk through the market where vendors are selling spices and all types of meet. Experience the many sounds and smells of a truly active market.

“Lots of fun to get lost in and wonder around”
Reviewed November 16, 2012

You really cannot follow a map in this area, just walk around and soak up the atmosphere, some little gems of restaurants and shops can be found off the beaten tracks, away from where all the tourists go.

“Part of Acropolis tour”
Reviewed November 15, 2012

Nota was an excellent guide for the ancient Agora and Acropolis in Athens. She was able to bring the places to life and really give me a sense of what the people and culture were like long ago. Also how advanced they were and what we've learned from them. I would highly recommend her!
