We were very pleased with our choice in choosing The Acropolis Hill Hotel. The reception area was clean comfortable and the receptionists friendly. I had originally requested a room with a balcony overlooking the Acropolis which wasn't allocated on arrival but without any problem the room was changed. It was worth it the view at night over the Acropolis was lovely. Our room was comfortable and quiet even though the road is quite busy. Breakfast was included with hot of cold choices and very good. Wi fi was also included which is always a bonus.
The location was good we walked to the Acropolis and then picked up the on/off bus which was very good. We got off at lunchtime and watched the changing of the guard. Well worth seeing get there a few minutes before to get a good view. I did e mail the hotel in advance for a car to collect us from the airport. The price was reasonable he also took us to our cruise ship? The driver spoke very good English he was friendly and helpful in advising us of places to see. The receptionist was helpful when we asked for advise on places to eat. We couldn't find his recommendation the Strophi the first night so we ate in the Acropolis it was clean and basic but the food good and seasonable. The second night we found the Strophi we ate in the roof garden definitely more upmarket than our first night. The setting lovely we had a table in the roof garden if you go after 8pm book in advance. The food was lovely and also reasonable prices.
The only reason haven't scored this hotel higher was the lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

Room Tip: Nice to see the Acropolis at night when lit up from our balcony.

We used the Acropolis Hill for a one night stopover in Athens prior to travelling to the Pelopponese. Was a little wary but the hotel was exactly as described; clean, modern, with good facilities (very comfortable beds and a great shower!) and amazing views of the Acropolis from our balcony & the hotel's roof terrace. Hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful, directing us to a good place to eat, storing luggage and booking us a cab the following day. Location couldn't be better for visiting the Acropolis / Agora & Plaka - just a few minutes walk away - but still pretty quiet so we got a good nights' sleep. Definitely booking again for our next trip.

Room Tip: ask for a room with a view of the Acropolis.

Excellent location with views of the Acropolis from the terrace at the rear. Newly refurbished with lots of glass and stainless steel. Good sized clean room and en-suite with modern fittings. We would not agree with the review that say the reception staff were friendly. We asked if we could print out our BA boarding pass at reception and they refused. They asked us to email a copy of the boarding pass as a PDF from our smart phone and said they would then print it for us. This proved to be an impossible task and when I gave the receptionist my phone and told him to do it, he was unable and said I should have brought my laptop or tablet on holiday with me as a phone is too small to use. After about one hour of pleading him to print out the boarding pass, he eventually relented but with a bad grace.

We were also disappointed that there was no coffee making equipment in the room. The receptionist did make us a cup of copy when we arrived, but he charged us for it, about twice as much as if we had gone to a caffe.

Whilst we were not "bumped/double booked, the couple in front of us arrived to find that they had no room and were offered another hotel in the same chain some distance from the Acropolis. They were very upset as they had pre-paid several months before arriving and had chosen this hotel because of the location. The receptionist sad that we were lucky to have a room - worrying. Other reviews have mentioned this policy over over booking.

These little things make an otherwise enjoyable stay in a very nice and convenient hotel a little disappointing.

Room Tip: Did not seem to be a choice

This hotel had very pretty rooms with a small private balcony, great breakfasts (included), and a helpful staff. The location is within walking distance of the Acropolis, museums, Parliament Square and so many sites. I would highly recommend it.

Room Tip: Ask for an Acropolis view. The other side do the hotel also has a pretty view and overlooks the pool.

This hotel came highly recommended by a frequent traveller to Athens. It didn't disappoint. We loved the location and when we went to check out the roof top terrace the view blew us away. Seeing the Acropolis in all it's magnificence took our breath away. An easy walking distance to the Acropolis and the few restaurants that had a great view was the bonus. We would definitely return.
