Came because of the excellent reviews, but it's a disappointment, the calamari is tasteless, and over cooked, it was bitter but fresh, ha weird combination eh. I had the greek salad, tomatos are good, sweet fresh! Friendly staff, average location

“Nice local place, extensive menu, first Greek Weiss beer”
Reviewed May 22, 2013 via mobile

We passed by this place a few times en route to the larger restaurants in Plaka as it looks like a sidewalk dive. Finally we tried it based on trip advisor reviews and as it is so close to the hotel.

The food was mostly served room temperature. The zucchini croquettes were nice though I was left wondering if they were totally cooked. I had to ask for the chick peas to be heated up more.

By 9pm the place was mostly packed. The best surprise for us was a new beer we had not seen...a Greek Weiss beer...which was served refreshingly cold.

There is only one waiter as other reviewers said. He did pretty good to make sure the service was ok and we made sure we caught him every time he went by.

“Small place but serves great food”
Reviewed April 25, 2013 via mobile

Every time we visit Athens we always make sure we pay this place a visit. The home made food they serve is great, this is now the 3rd or 4th time, and we leave more than happy each time.

Specials are advertised on the small blackboard, or you can simply pick from the menu at hand. The Prices are extremely good, considering your in the centre of Athens.

I do recommend you book as it gets very busy with locals...... So by that, you know the food must be good.

“Good value Greek food”
Reviewed April 9, 2013

We chose this restaurant because it was a 5 minute walk from our hotel, Hotel Hemes and were pleased with our choice. yes, there's nothing glamorous about it and no view, but we sat outside and enjoyed freshly prepared Greek salad and Moussaka. The highlight, though, was the meatballs. Just very good value, simple food.
