“Quick and tasty”
Reviewed March 2, 2014

Kosmikon is a grill restaurant located in the centre of Plaka (Kydathineon and Andrianou str.). My wife and I ordered some pork souvlaki, some fries, refreshments and gyros-pita. They were delicious and we enjoyed our meal, even if the prices are a bit higher than other nearby grill restaurants. The service is quick and every one there speaks English. It’s obvious because their main clientele is foreign travelers. We ordered something simple because we needed some energy after a long walk around the Akropolis and Philopappou hills. The quality of the food was excellent and the location one of the best in down town Athens. I would definitely go there again either alone, with friends or with my family.

“One of the worst choices”
Reviewed October 25, 2013 via mobile

The souvlaki had huge chunks of fat in it, was over fried and had black chunks in it and arrived cold. The lamb chops were barely edible and like leather with a ring of fat around it. I am a hearty eater and could not finish my meal. It is as expensive as other places in the area which are gourmet quality. And their WiFi doesn't even work properly. If you are in Plaka there are 1000 better options than this disgrace.

“Delicious and right amount.”
Reviewed October 9, 2013

In the Plaka area, there is no dearth of good restaurants or a good view, and Kosmikon was probably one of many many restaurants that we walked by, but the prices were may be 1-2 euro lesser than the other ones.

The quantity was "just right". Being a vegetarian in Greece is not hard, but finding good vegetarian food is hard. This was probably one of the better ones. My husband eats meat and he said the chicken soulvaki was good. I had Pita, eggplant salad and some fried zucchini balls all of which were delicious. My favorite were the zucchini balls, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside flavored correctly.

There was free Wifi, but since so many people were using it, we could not really connect, and when we finally did it was slow. But, we had plenty of people watching to entertain us.

Overall enjoyed the meal and the quintessential plaka/bazaar type street view from the outside of the restaurant.

“Ok for quick bite”
Reviewed September 29, 2013

Right on the corner, this is one of the restaurants/cafes photographed in many guidebooks. Good location to watch the world go by. Reasonable gyros/kebabs but slightly overpriced as it is on a tourist trap road in the Plaka.

“Absolutely Loved the Food!”
Reviewed September 16, 2013

Our first evening in Athens, while walking around in the Plaka district we found Kosmikon. It was buzzing with people, so we decided to have dinner here. And what a great decision that was! The person who attended to us was great, he suggested what we should have and was quite funny! Made us feel at home instantly. We ordered a Gyros portion and Souvlaki and it was just delicious. Huge portions, tasty food and great prices.Mains were around 10 Euros, which is great for the kind of food and portions that they serve. We stayed in Athens for 3 nights and had dinner at Kosmikon every single night. We went all over Greece after Athens, and we loved the food everywhere, but Kosmikon has to be one of the best restaurants we went to, on this trip.
