we went to this beach using the tram (its the last stop). This is paid beach. It looked clean and well managed with good facilities. And certainly much better then the numerous unpaid ones that we saw on our way.

Lovely Beach with a beach club that served food and drinks although they were a little expensive. Showers and restrooms were available. It was very relaxing.

A beach near the centre of Athens, well fitted in the urban web. It's dirty, it is next to the road is very crowded, is awful. With a little more amount of time you can get a boat from Piraeus and visit one of the nearby islands of Saronic (Hydra, Agistri, Aigina) go to better beaches and return before the sunset. Else stay on the other attractions and keep your willingness to go the sea for the greek island that will follow in your excursion

The beach was fine, good place to run away from the rush and chaos in Athens. Can be easily reached by tram which goes from Syntagma Sq. If you like to walk (just like me) you can take a tram on one way and return back on feet to Pireus and there take a metro to the center of Athens - it's a good plan to spend your afternoon, especially when on almost every corner you can also find restaurants, pubs, bars with live music. Just enjoy Greek climate!!!

Spend 1hr 40 mins on the tram to get to the beach recommended at Voula only to get back on the tram and head back to Athens. The beach was filthy it looked like a rubbish dump rather than a beach. The restaurants were closed and boarded up. Don't mix this review with the beach club next door which seemed from the outside very popular with families. Ended up going to the Poseidon Beach Club much nearer town and I could have saved 2hr on a hot tram.
